With Britain walk away Brussels have a lot to lose . Trade is the last thing on their minds, excluding Germany. To Brussels, UK means respect and power from the rest of the world powers...something the Brussels luck at the moment.

French leader demands EU access to British waters next year

Boris Johnson must back down and sign up to French “conditions” on fishing access or prepare for a no-deal Brexit, President Macron has warned.

Speaking at a meeting in Brussels earlier today before this afternoon’s key summit, Mr Macron doubled down on his demand that fishing boats from France should have access to British waters at the end of the Brexit transition next year.

“If conditions aren’t met it’s possible we don’t have an agreement. We are ready for that,” the French leader said. “We are finalising measures to take in all sectors, and if there are no good terms found at the end of the discussion we are ready for a no deal.”

So Barnier now offering a 2 week extension. They're still having a laugh and trying to undermine us. They've no intention of doing a deal except one that keeps us shackled to EU, just playing poker. Look them in the eye Boris and No deal. Anything less and your Govt. is finished, the Tories are finished and the Country will be finished.

Well said Daddy Warbucks. Burnham will have to bear the responsibility for COVID deaths through ignoring HMG policy. But then labour don't really care about people or the economy or the country, or in fact anything apart from ruination....oh and equality and 'fairness'.

Well good luck. I suspect that is the way it will go but I fear it will not be a good one - for the UK. I could be wrong but I think Doris has blown his hand but maybe its his strong suit

I can understand if someone thinks there is a better way of dealing with the virus. That opinion is made to try and help people. ( even if it turns out to be wrong). But when politicians are stopping efforts to control the virus because they think businesses are not being compensated enough ( and two thirds seems quite generous me) then that crosses the line. They are putting political dogma before the health and safety of people.
