Back down on fishing rights or prepare for no-deal Brexit, warns Macron
French leader demands EU access to British waters next year

Boris Johnson must back down and sign up to French “conditions” on fishing access or prepare for a no-deal Brexit, President Macron has warned.

Speaking at a meeting in Brussels earlier today before this afternoon’s key summit, Mr Macron doubled down on his demand that fishing boats from France should have access to British waters at the end of the Brexit transition next year.

“If conditions aren’t met it’s possible we don’t have an agreement. We are ready for that,” the French leader said. “We are finalising measures to take in all sectors, and if there are no good terms found at the end of the discussion we are ready for a no deal.”

Mr Macron is expected to clash with Angela Merkel, the

So Barnier now offering a 2 week extension. They're still having a laugh and trying to undermine us. They've no intention of doing a deal except one that keeps us shackled to EU, just playing poker. Look them in the eye Boris and No deal. Anything less and your Govt. is finished, the Tories are finished and the Country will be finished.

Well said Daddy Warbucks. Burnham will have to bear the responsibility for COVID deaths through ignoring HMG policy. But then labour don't really care about people or the economy or the country, or in fact anything apart from ruination....oh and equality and 'fairness'.

Well good luck. I suspect that is the way it will go but I fear it will not be a good one - for the UK. I could be wrong but I think Doris has blown his hand but maybe its his strong suit

I can understand if someone thinks there is a better way of dealing with the virus. That opinion is made to try and help people. ( even if it turns out to be wrong). But when politicians are stopping efforts to control the virus because they think businesses are not being compensated enough ( and two thirds seems quite generous me) then that crosses the line. They are putting political dogma before the health and safety of people.

David Frost puts UK on brink of no deal Brexit saying EU 'no longer committed' to talks

THE UK'S chief Brexit negotiator has launched a staggering attack on the European Union as negotiations reach the crunch point.

Writing on Twitter, David Frost dealt a hammer blow to hopes of the UK securing a

Brexit deal with the EU. Lord Frost said he felt disappointed by the bloc's

conclusions on the ongoing post-Brexit trade talks. He said he was taken aback by

Brussels' stance that the UK should be the one to move on key demands, saying such

an approach was "unusual".

Lord Frost said: “Disappointed by the #EUCO conclusions on UK/EU negotiations.

“Surprised EU is no longer committed to working 'intensively' to reach a future partnership as agreed with @vonderleyen on 3 October.

“Also surprised by suggestion that to get an agreement all future moves must come from UK. It's an unusual approach to conducting a negotiation.”

His words came after his European counterpart Michel Barnier said the bloc would do everything in its power to agree a trade deal with Britain - but not at any price.

Mr Barnier said for the UK to retain access to the EU market of 450 million consumers and 22 million companies it must agree to a level playing field.

He told a news conference: "We are absolutely determined to reach a fair deal with the UK. We will do everything that we can, but not at any price."

His warning came after EU leaders discussed the impasse in Brexit negotiations.

He added: "My negotiation team and I will continue intensive discussions over the coming weeks.

"Our position has been crystal clear... If you want access to our market of 450 million people, there must be a level playing field."

This is a breaking story…more to follow

When you start playing politics with people's lives for no other reason than to try and extort more money out of the government, then I think something needs to be done.

Could a case of Corporate manslaughter be brought against the Mayor of Manchester if he refuses to adhere to level 3 local lockdowns?

You would have to prove his inactions caused additional deaths, but who knows in this crazy country?

Well, if you want to prosecute 'good old Andy' then maybe we should also prosecute De Piffle and Scummings for the national crime. :)
