There also should be no Project Fear surrounding the Indie vote.
Anyone blatantly lying to get a custodial sentence of 2 years.

But

Scottish Independence means no membership of UK Single Market for Scotland.
No pound Sterling
Fair share of national debt/ assets
(and contrary to ScotNats claims, Assets dont include private housing stock)

Split it, divide it fairly.Send them on their way.

We'll relocate nuclear subs in England/Wales, and all defence contracts awarded to Clyde etc on purely political grounds to be divvied up to portsmouth et al.

CtT, totally agree, lets the Scots have their referendum. If they want to leave then go and leave us to move forward, we don't want this hanging onto us like a deep fried Mars Bar.

Don't forget the European elections earlier this year as well.

Scots deserve a second Indie Referendum imo.
And one that England and Wales should get a vote in as well.

100% agree graham (that's twice this year)!!

What's the point in voting for a party when that candidate once elected jumps ship to a party which lost ?

It makes a mockery of a vote and is fraud pure and simple........

Research by the BBC’s Laurence Sleator has shown that all 18 MPs who defected in the last Parliament then stood again for this one failed in their endeavours to be re-elected to the House of Commons. Two even lost their deposits…

ALL the defectors lost:

Probably a good idea to bring in compulsory bye-elections when an MP gives up the whip or has it taken away. Such a person is no longer a representative and therefore has no place in the House.

You remind me of a debate on another board where a judge said 'i dismiss this case due to non-prosecution' (or wtte). When asked why he dismissed the case, most insisted it was due to ill health of the claimant. When i quoted the judges words, they still said the same. Madness.

"Madness" indeed! But it is always a very special kind of madness when it comes to Oreilly. ;-)

It was, of course, much more err... 'interesting' if you saw and followed the actual posts and (laugh out loud!) 'debate'. But then Oreilly is a Denier of facts.

But, no matter...

"Min2 - you're another bad and sour loser. Move on."

I haven't lost anything as far as I can see. The political parties my family voted for lost a GE but my family and I stand to gain. I am a millionaire remember. I'd hate to tell you all how much my portfolio is up this morning. Softens the blow. I have been overweight FTSE 250 stocks for 12 months building up holdings. I'm yielding close on 9% covered dividend too. Not bad eh? Makes Jacko's Lloyds and ITV investments look like a Tory benefit handout.

Boris has not changed overnight because people dislike Corbyn. ;)

I'm sorry but I have not placed my trust in that buffoon and I think millions are going to be very disappointed.

McDonnell is certainly a deluded individual. Remember his comment about delivering policy and MPs daring to oppose it. What a clown.

Lets see Min, but those people that have trusted him are the same people that can get rid. He certainly will be under the spotlight and he needs to deliver. As I have said before I have my reservations about BJ, but look forward to those being totally without reason.

This was all about Brexit and the arrogance of some to try and over turn the result. Of course nobody realistically thought JC could be PM, he was just another MF on speed. Anyway the chimps are in charge of the Zoo now. Fancy a banana?

Boris has already told a lie this morning. The result does not give a clear mandate for Brexit. Of course, him and his plutocratic backers will make sure the dunderheads believe it. The vote was clouded by those not wanting Corbyn. A vote of the worst of two evils. Many will have voted Tory last night who would vote Remain in a referendum I am sure. We will never know now. The tabloids did a wonderful job of making Corbyn look evil. I'm not saying he is perfect, and some of McDonnell's ideas were simply unacceptable, certain (wealthy) Jews came in and did the job when they were called upon. ;)

Anyway, I wouldn't get too excited chimpies. You bought the lottery ticket for £10 and find it to be a winner. You all think you have won the shiny future that Brexit brings when in reality you are one of millions who have just won another tote bag worth £1 with words written on it saying "you've been taken for a ride you plonka!". LOL

I have the courage to accept a GE defeat. I'm Liberal, generally, but Swinson was out of her depth and her removal comes as no surprise. Now let us see Boris execute his promises, let us see if he builds six new hospitals because we all know 40 was a lie. Let us see him build these freeports and see how they work when the destinations are only 20 miles on the other side of the channel. Let us see him keep the UK together. Let us see him prop up farming, the auto industry, reduce hospital waiting times, reduce crime, improve our roads, clean up forgotten industrial towns etc.. etc.. and deliver the utopia the voting clowns last night believe they are going to get.

When all the above gets done, I will have the courage to say I was wrong. If it isn't done, I hope the morons and chimps will not resort to their life long habits of being on a good excuse, blaming someone else and admit their failure.

The circus has only started and you are still the clowns. Good luck! LOL

Dominic Cummings, Boris Johnson's chief adviser, says MPs and journalists should have learned from EU referendum

Verity Bowman Christopher Hope, chief political correspondent
13 DECEMBER 2019 • 8:24AM

Dominic Cummings, Boris Johnson's chief adviser, has said MPs and journalists should have learned from EU referendum.

According to Mr Cummings, MPs and journalists “doubled down” on their views after the referendum instead of understanding the mood of the nation.

Friends of Mr Cummings traced back Mr Johnson's landslide to the political class's reaction to the MP expenses scandal exposed by The Daily Telegraph in 2009.

Mr Cummings, who is credited with masterminding the successful Vote Leave campaign in the 2016 referendum, said the conversations MPs and journalists have in London are "a million miles away from reality".
