21/6/2019 15:46 | How much difference does it make? Since Mrs Liar nobody will take a claim to be pro-leave at face value. Hunt is a remainer and everyone knows it. This is the choice that needed to be offered to the wider membership and it has been. | grahamite2
21/6/2019 15:41 | Boris may have a second referendum as his plan B. He will have to do something if he fails to get out on time, and a general election could be a disaster. Difficult to see what else he could do. Parliament will not allow no deal. Renegotiation seems unlikely. As he said, the Tories will be crushed in an election if they do not deliver. | careful
21/6/2019 15:40 | here is a real "investment" tip Sell every investment you have...now, no matter what the current price..back in to cash. Exchange your sick/poorly Great British pounds in to throbbing Euros today..what ever the rate is now After the 31st Oct, the UK crashes out of the EU and on to its knees. Then simply choose when to exchange the good international currency back in to your islands pounds shillings and farthins, and enjoy a min 10% increase to your wad! You will still be able to buy back in to your investments (if you are fool enough) any time in the next 2 years at the same or lower price Quids in as you Brits say. Or, play the same game with $US and profit from a few hundred thousand souls loosing their lives in Iran over the next 5 years..? Hey, why let the yanks have all the fun...join in the party! | smartypants
21/6/2019 15:39 | Brexit: Carney rejects Boris Johnson's no-deal trade claim Bank of England governor says UK would be hit automatically by tariffs on exports to EU | maxk
21/6/2019 15:22 | Jeremy Hunt is coming out of the closet whether he likes it or not.. | maxk
21/6/2019 15:17 | Hey... Might be a good time to "buy a few more"? I mean the price is down (is it less than 58.85p?), and just before weekend is always a good move. You can garantee that there is absolutely no way that the US-Iran thing will escalate over the weekend and impact stocks/markets..the world....come Monday morning | smartypants
21/6/2019 14:22 | Cheshire - GBP continues its decline today. But don't worry according to you all is hunky dory. ;)) | alphorn
21/6/2019 14:21 | "The only variable is the EU in steady decline...… Really Cheshire - do you follow the data points (eg this morning's) or some media rag? Today's data points tell the opposite - but dream on and perhaps get 25 upticks. | alphorn
21/6/2019 14:15 | Strange when i was working, my friends and I had a business, we employed about 100 at our peak but for almost 20 years a core of around 20. We paid 15% above the going rate. Between us , our people and corporation tax we paid many millions in tax. used to be the backbone of the country, now relegated to nutters funny old life. | hernando2
21/6/2019 14:09 | Most young people want Corbyn...so that is mainly the remain vote...cake and eat it as the EU says | hernando2
21/6/2019 14:07 | I worry most about Corbyn getting power. He is a bigger threat then Brexit. Boris and the Tories must understand that there are far more 'good deal' Brexiteers and remaners than there are are extreme nutters who want no deal. They are fighting to hard to win back Farages nutty 5m. It worries me, they are neglecting the majority. | careful
21/6/2019 14:03 | shy The question in the referendum had to be a simple in/out. but the campaign before the vote from both sides was a farce. So many lies and disinformation. The promise of a good deal and billions saved and reduced immigration were key factors that affected how people voted. Hammond (who you hate) said last night that no one voted to be come poorer. Impossible to know how many people voted leave because they thought we would get a good deal, but I guess it would be millions. | careful

21/6/2019 13:39 | Left wing comedians recommend battery acid, who knows if that suggestion was being taken up... | hernando2
21/6/2019 13:37 | "A Greenpeace activist says Mark Field's actions were 'over the top'." Oh right, but twice stopping an oil rig in the North Sea isn't OTT? Gate crashing the MH event isn't OTT? At the least, she could have been going to spray paint over the gathering - the sort of thing they do. | poikka
21/6/2019 13:34 | "she did not intend to complain to the police." Maybe the suspended MP should complain about her behaviour. | poikka
21/6/2019 13:33 | Shy Tott, I suspect the likes of careful have by now managed to convince themselves that their fantasies are true. But for those who remain grounded in the real world it's good to be reminded just how simple and straightforward the question was. Remain or leave - that's it. | grahamite2
21/6/2019 13:33 | Why are the police concentrating on investingting mark field and apparently letting the perpetrators off scott free?. Under very slightly different circumstances which were unknown at the time, field could have been a hero who saved the chancellor's life, or possible a hundreds of people's lives. Remember, if you discover a scroat rummaging through your belongings when you arrive home, don't whack him or even exhibit displeasure - just point him to your most valuable assests and wish him well. | shy tott
21/6/2019 13:23 | 2104 ee Careful, why do you simply make tings up, e.g. '17m voted to leave with a deal' '17m voted for a glorious future etc'. The referendum made no mention whatsoever of leaving with a deal, or leaving for a glorious future. In fact, and I accept you dilsike facts and prefer to make things up as you go along, a majority voted 'leave' in response to the following question Should the United Kingdom remain a member of the European Union or leave the European Union? | shy tott
21/6/2019 13:23 | Ha ha ha ha. What a bunch of life losers. | minerve 2
21/6/2019 13:20 | A great opportunity for Boris to reinstate him as one of his Day 1 jobs. | grahamite2 |
