So unsuccessful is our trading relationship with the EU that we pay a net £10bn/year to have a trading deficit of £100bn/year.

Mrs May obviously did not think this was worth mentioning in her discussions with them.

Remember she thinks they are our friends !!!

Again, it would be "your" as opposed to "you're" unless it's a cross dressing issue or a remake of Psycho.

YOU'RE not very good at this, are you ????

What was the Tory Party thinking giving that woman such a job ?

Promoted WAY beyond her capabilities

Crass stupidity on a GRAND scale

Now the Tory Grandees reap the whirlwind and serve them right

THE people come first ... forget that at your peril

"Just how long do you think that a bilateral takes to negotiate and get approval by the parties involved? 5 years + is closer to 5 minutes"

Bilaterals far speedier than FTAs and plenty have been sorted/ready to be signed once we know how we are leaving the EU!!As you well know. Or has Fox's trade department being doing nothing for the last several years?

Why will they negotiate and sign if they don't know the trade terms UK will be operating under. Some nations have but most will wait to see what framework we are going to operate under(or whether we will have our trade policy dictated for us by EU)Agreeing the latter would be utter stupidity.

May's WA treaty is an incompetent disaster. It isn't even Brexit either

Rule 1, never take anyone seriously who thinks "their" as in belonging to them, is spelled as "there".

Who did, LADESIDE? Has Minerve been busily editing?

I can just see grahamite as the captain of the Titanic - don't worry the hull is just scratched. Crew members would include Poika and several other 'reality disbelievers' on this thread.

rburtn was spot-on with this comment:

"losers who cannot identify the source of their discomfort."

Or are in denial that it is their failures.

I disagree with that completely.

First define 'alien power'.

rburtn's 259036 is a classic of its kind. Everyone but him is stupid, and he misses the point completely.

I will remind him of a line from the film Gandhi:

I put it to you that there is no nation on earth that would not prefer its own bad government to the good government of an alien power.

"If you are stupid, you become a loser, and that is what leavers are, losers who cannot identify the source of their discomfort"

Only stupid losers round here are those Remainers who cannot accept a democratic vote that did not go their way.

As to the rest of the drivel

Yawn.

We already are WTO members in our own right, and WTO only would not be the trading framework UK would operate under. It'd be WTO + Bilaterals + FTA's.

You know, how rest of the world trades!!!
