I don't think there's much point in speculating on the deal until details are out.

We're only guessing.

As to him not being a Liverpool supporter, who cares? It's a deal done (if it is) for commercial reasons.

I don't suppose Carlsberg are Liverpool supporters either?

Last time i met the Thai PM he was in a Liverpool shirt - deffo a big lifetime fan, who made his BILLIONS from telecoms not from scavaging of the poor old Thai people. Electoral fund my @rse!

Not sure if I want GH to have another year -dont know if my heart can take it. But getting rid of Salif Diao, Heskey, Biscan,. Traore would be a good start.

Who knows what tomorrow brings - we can only live in hope.

"The prime minister shouldn't have anything to do with management of the club but I think he wants a say in buying and selling players," Boonchai said.

"I'm not sure if the prime minister is really a Liverpool fan," he added. "He says he is but when Manchester United were here, he said he supported them."

Deal is done with the PM

Abix - yes, very optimistic now, lets see how GH spends the money in the summer.

As long as he doesn't try and find the next 'whoever' and buys proven quality then he has my support for another season.

I've forgotten; is it tonight or tomorrow that Kevin Beattie (must be getting on a bit now?) makes Mr Bumble look like the Galoots half bro'?

Whad'ya mean? - You trying to tell me I've got less than a year to live? oh, right. pessimism an' all that. No Abix, I realistically think that next year GH will aim as high as THIRD. Ar5e have another couple of years in them, the Sh1te have blown it, and that lovely man from the Urals will do a runner when the Commie courts catch up with him. The rest of the league is so p!ss poor that, in the same way we'll get fourth this year, LFC will get third by default!
Heskeyless - probably; Biscanless? that'd be like GH selling part of himself. As they say over't pennines - eeee, there's nowt as stubborn as a Frenchman who's wrong.
Looking forward to what little time I apparently have on this planet; Nap for the summer is Smicer and Baros to play in their proper positions and shine in Portugal.

To be fair, he never said he was going, only the press.

He did say this though,

"I'm not in football for the money. And that is largely what it means when players sit out their contracts and go for free. I've got a reasonable collection of trophies already, but I want more and that's the main thing in my mind.

I am very ambitious and want to play at the highest level but there is no reason that can't be with Liverpool."

Good lad.

No. It's 50 Euros now.

Or so I'm told.

:-(

RB!

A shoot of optimism from you?

I know fourth isn't what we want. Our ambitions are higher than that but if we go in to next season Heskeyless and Biscanless with CL to play in, life's not so bad.

I like GH. He's funny, in the same way that Pol Pot was funny! .... an' all these new blokes from Siam, or French East Indies, or wherever they're from (yep, my map of the world is from 1953) - how do we know they're really blokes? HeHe; see Mad Bob left his mike on yesterday - good lad.
