18/9/2018 16:46 | Nice rise today, looking forward to trading update in October which will confirm European launch to the wider market. Get an article in one of the more mainstream places and this will take off. Up 7% today on a handful of buys. | ukdannyboy
18/9/2018 09:59 | Total share options now outstanding now at 5.5% - we are not just taking about 350k but they are worthless at this time, so hopefully if your a holder they will return to being something of value, even though it may take years. Keeping an eye on this as it could fall on results or trading update, and then bounce I guess, so opening the door to profit, with luck and good timing. I hope I am wrong and it all turns out well for you though, if so there will also be opportunity on the way back up. | clocktower
18/9/2018 09:49 | would you of preferred it if they issued 3.5m options at a strike price of 10p - vested as at todays date? better it's only 350k shares at 40p in 3 years time, so no easy cherry pickings for them | euclid5
18/9/2018 08:31 | Yes I’m really worried about staff receiving 350,000 incentivised shares that they can’t sell for 3 years and can only sell if the share price is 4x what it is now... massive dilution LOL. A trading update isn’t due until next month why would they mention the accounts now, they haven’t even done preliminary results yet. Your attempt to put a negative spin on this shows your only interest here is to deramp. Hilarious. | ukdannyboy
18/9/2018 08:19 | No mention of numbers of operating units or cash balances for example. Seems to me it is just an attempt to lift the share price bearing in mind they have just issued more options to employees. Those options being at 16p are however worthless at this time but every time options are issued, it dilutes other stakeholders, if there were to be a bid. | clocktower
18/9/2018 08:06 | Seems to be happy customers out there. Sure there are some grumpy ones, but it's usually operator error, or doing something flashy with the kit, or there own electrical/wifi environment that's a problem. More sales channels means more ££. | whoppy
14/9/2018 13:25 | gozo, Norman may have been a big hit in Albania while it was under Communist rule but that was in part due to only selected films being allowed, as his were viewed as being part of the class struggle - Mr Pitkin died in 2010 - and the chances of the few Lightwave products taking off are as slim as the chances of Theresa May being the leader of the Tories in 2020, and Lightwave like NW might also be dead by that time. | clocktower

06/9/2018 05:55 | Possibly, Germany is a larger market than the UK and more receptive to this type of technology. It's a bit disappointing to be going there with just a hub and a light switch though. The hub makes the first sale very expensive and without all the other peripherals and it being able to drive or be driven by other systems, it loses its appeal. Especially, compared with Smart things or some of the German brands who are compatible with lots of technology. It appears that this is a Home-kit only play for people who would like Apple quality smart switches but no smart sockets. That will severely limit sales, for sure. In any case 22 x limited sales = Reasonable sales. So it should provide a good lift to the figures. | sinkyj
05/9/2018 18:50 | You never know sales could really take off in one of those countries....a bit like Norman Wisdom in Albania! | gozo
05/9/2018 16:28 | No nail biting needed. Whatever your or my view on the sell through of the stock, filling 22 countries will give a short term boost to sales. The nail biting was wondering if this would happen. | sinkyj
03/9/2018 09:43 | Last year there was a trading update provided early October - will this be the same this year - with just around three months to go until the P.Results are released (based on last years timing) it could be a long and nail biting time for some holders that bought in at the time of the last funding at 16p - as they have already lost around 40% of value, and would I expect have a job to get much more than 9p on any decent quantity if they tried to sell. Still, if the results and forward looking statement is not better they could be looking at a whole lot worse I guess. | clocktower
30/8/2018 17:59 | I shall now sleep in peace till to you come to me DannyBoy. | clocktower
30/8/2018 17:51 | When the orders come to dive,at least he will have been trained underwater and know how to get out when the time comes.:-) "Jason Elliott is currently Chief Sales Officer for Onzo Ltd, which provides energy data analytics to major utilities, and through which he has gained first-hand experience of the smart home market. He was previously Divisional Managing Director of SafetyBank, the safety management software company, a wholly owned subsidiary of Olive Communications Solutions Limited. Prior to that, he held a number of senior sales roles at Azzurri Communications Limited, the cloud hosting and data management provider, now part of Maintel Holdings plc. He has a strong technical grounding, from a seven-year term at the start of his career, serving as an engineer in the Royal Navy Submarine Service." | clocktower
30/8/2018 17:34 | Gozo,AP didn't walk. He was removed. He was a very sound guy but the results didn't happen in the short term. Really the company needed much more money to scale. 5 million sounds a lot. Ring the video door bell people spent 200 million on marketing. One of my investors is on their board. The people in charge are committed capital they appointed AP, they removed him. It's nothing about travel. Nobody needs to go to the 22 counties to sell anything. The financial director / interim Ceo is their guy. Undoubtedly the new Ceo is their appointment . He's from a utility company background and selling his connections to that area to his new employers. We'll see | sinkyj
30/8/2018 10:50 | I wouldn't rise to it Dannyboy.....after a few years it becomes like water off a ducks back....he does come up with the occasional salient point though so shouldn't be dismissed completely....good to keep a balance. | gozo
30/8/2018 08:54 | Clock Tower Birmingham to Birmingham is a bit different to Birmingham to Italy. Have you ever had young kids or a nagging wife? You really are one of the biggest morons I’ve ever seen post on any of these forums, you talk absolute rubbish, I really do wonder what planet you’re on. Blocked :) | ukdannyboy
30/8/2018 08:51 | Gozo not an assumption on you, I just know that idiot clock tower would reappear with more nonsense. | ukdannyboy
30/8/2018 08:16 | International Travel is a whole different cup of tea to European Travel - it is one thing to pop over the Channel - as it is nothing more than a daily commute to having to deal with possible jet lag. Better come up with a better theory - did he walk or was he asked to leave? Trouble with military types is that the need a committee of wafflers to pick the colour of the curtains in the mess let alone the direction the troops should travel. | clocktower
30/8/2018 08:11 | Respect your opinion Dannyboy but I have made no assumptions in my previous post....you have assumed on my behalf. | gozo
30/8/2018 07:52 | It’s important to remember that he’s a person just like everybody else. It was a loss because he was a good guy and was taking the company in the right direction. As he says in his interview here: The reason he joined Lightwave in the first place was because it was a UK company and in his previous role he had a lot of international travelling which didn’t suit him due to having a young family. He joined Lightwave to get away from that. You assume that with entry into the European market that international travel would increase etc. One can only imagine the look on his wife’s face when he tells her the new job he took so he could be closer to home now involves him travelling again. That to me probably seems the most logical - wanting to be with his kids and a bit of pressure from the Mrs. It’s still just a guess on my part but obviously what he says in the interview are his words and not mine, so at least part of it is verified rather than speculative. | ukdannyboy
29/8/2018 23:23 | Interesting posts....the question that keeps cropping up in mind is if the business was going/doing so well why did the CEO walk?AP was/is a shrewd operator....why not stay and take the success and plaudits? He obviously had a good relationship with Apple, so are we now seeing his legacy in the unpublicised European roll out....butEurope is all very well and sounds great....but where is a full range/suite of U.K. gen 2 products? The uk is their core market....I can't see the sense in not supplying the home market with a good range of new products and keeping loyal customers and supporters of the company happy first.Just hope there won't be another phantom £2million order that never shows up like the Deta debacle! | gozo |
