23/1/2018 08:25 | Good morning Gozo. I'll PM you re. the AGM. Meanwhile, some release dates for more of the G2 range can now be seen online. Several new items available in February, even more in April... Rgds. | heptonstall

21/1/2018 16:49 | sinkyj: I agree it's about building the business / brand domestically in the first instance. I believe this is where LWRF's focus is and successful deployment of the full g2 range, supported by an effective marketing strategy is key. Apple's involvement is great because of the leverage it offers. With regards to European ambitions, I agree this is, at present, a secondary interest.......but it's worth noting that LWRF themselves felt the ambition real and significant enough to mention in their last set of accounts, where under the strategy section they said the following, quote: .................... -- Undertaking a rolling launch of a comprehensive range of new Generation 2 devices, from early 2018; -- Expand our direct sales function, introducing a field based home visit sales team; -- Add further distributors that complement and extend our distribution capability; -- Launching an international device range, following an indication from Apple that they are actively considering offering our Generation 2 sockets and switches to their online and retail customer base in 25 European countries. .................... Like you it seems, I'm certainly encouraged by AP's presence at the company......and my interest in LWRF was further piqued by his appointment last year. A good blend of longer term ambition balanced with the nearer term reality of the work that must be done.....and hopefully a good manager of people and deal maker too. Both important ingredients the company needs. The AGM is this week and it will be interesting to see what is said....although this years AGM is coming a lot earlier in the year than before. | mg78
21/1/2018 07:19 | The global market was $6B when numerous IOT and Home automation companies have gone to the wall. LW barely has a UK presence 30/40K homes. It's a minnow in the world pond. What is most important is how they quickly grow that UK business and brand with or without Apple's help. The $6B is attracting interest from the whales, sharks and minnows from all over the world. The UK pond is going to get very busy soon and LW shouldn't waste it's head-start. Fortunately, I think AP has his head screwed on and understands this better than some of the enthusiastic small shareholders. There's lots to do, and the share price reflects this, it still appears reasonable value at the moment for some steady accumulation. Even the UK early adopter market is a good 1-2 million homes, there is also lots of empty space to swim. The money is only just in, so talk of European expansion, even with Apple, is premature. There's a good 6-8 months or more lead time on new product even if they started serious development the day the cash hit the bank. European sockets/lights are no where near as roomy as UK, it's not a quick job. | sinkyj

19/1/2018 12:27 | There remains two steady buyers in the mkt, even if, at times, those trades will appear red and are sometimes below mid price. Gradual accumulation is key. Unrushed and 'under the radar' as the saying goes. rgds. | heptonstall

18/1/2018 22:24 | Well spotted, Gozo. I like the tweet beneath it too; it's good to know Andrew Pearson has an eye for a rising graph! His first tranche of 400,000 shares (exercisable at 40p) should help incentive. I'm broadly encouraged by his input thus far - he has successfully concluded the initial involvement with Apple and I shall be impressed if he can augment the partnership further and in to Europe. 40p will be smashed if Apple decide to run with the plug and switch offering. At the moment, I feel there is good reason to be confident that they will: the product is excellent and looks as though it could easily become on-trend with Apple buyers, dovetailing well into their stores. Ultimately beneficial to both Apple and LWRF. (I write as a steadfast Apple user myself). Don't forget the new products mooted in one interview - one of which is being trialled with a utility. AP could not elaborate further due to confidentiality agreements. I think he's up for it and so far gets my backing. He also seems realistic and is not averse to publicly stating that there is a lot to be done at the company. I welcome that frank disclosure and think you'll begin to see further tangible progress / results under him. | mg78
18/1/2018 18:39 | Indeed. Company very busy. As I said, it's going to be an interesting year. Rgds. | heptonstall

17/1/2018 10:44 | A rare opportunity to get hold of some volume just under mid-price. (The two 10k trades are buys). The offer is about to correct itself. | mg78
10/1/2018 19:24 | "A significant number of ideas, some of which are in prototype...as we head into the next calendar year, we'll make some announcements and bring to market some new devices....in core areas as well as extending into adjacent areas" "In terms of sales and marketing we don't actually do any marketing right now......we've really invested very little in marketing...in the last period we achieved that doubling of revenues, quite frankly, on pretty much zero marketing spend" Into 2018: "I will build a marketing team for the first time, to jump-start revenue growth" "and I'd love to announce that we've added retailers and hopefully that will occur..that is definitely a focus" "You'll see the company become a lot more visible as we begin really for the first time to invest in marketing" | heptonstall
10/1/2018 16:18 | sinkyj....agree with much of what you say, but you may be pleasantly surprised along the way. I do not see 29p (or beyond) so insurmountable upon positive developments. The realistic valuation of a company can change dramatically if it is managed in the right way and the correct calls are made. | mg78
10/1/2018 16:06 | Whoppy, the usual answer to a question how many shares is too many? :- if you lost all that money would it effect your life in any way now or in the future. If the answer is yes, then you should probably be spreading your risk a bit more. This isn't a share to recommend to your granny. Anything can happen to small companies. At the moment I own more than Kevin Edwards and less than John Shermer. I have owned a lot more, I recently owned as few as 20,000. I had a good top up yesterday, which appears to have taken any slack out of the market. In the short term there is a good hard base of around 15-16p, so that's the risk. I doubt we see 29p again, anything is possible with limited liquidity. However, if we do the company will be overvalued given current progress. I would think mid 20's possible with a base of low 20.The short term future appears to be rosy lots of good things happening. Still a few persistent teething problems with the new products and Apps but the right noises being made by AP. 6-12 months out, we'll see how those noises are converted to actions. Also there will be increasing competition this coming year. For the first time, I'd say some looks potentially threatening. That's obviously all my opinion only | sinkyj

09/1/2018 23:43 | Hi Whoppy, it's an impossible question. One man's 40K is another man's 'back of the sofa' money, whilst to another still, it's a major commitment. Plus of course, much depends at what price the shares were purchased. Although the trades page doesn't always reflect it, the stock is being nibbled away, at these prices. | mg78
09/1/2018 23:37 | From Mighty Gadget: Re. LWRF..."It is still the only home automation system on the market where you can properly replace your light switches and plug sockets; this is a major selling point in my opinion as having to use socket adaptors is annoying, to say the least." Indeed. There is more value in those than some might imagine. The sockets and switches are all beautifully done and coming in a range of finishes they could go into any number of environments. They would not look out of place in the smartest of city houses and apartments. They also don't look as though they will 'age' any time soon, or look out of place in differing countries. So...'very Apple' then.....and little wonder that they are eyeing them with a view to Europe. From the Annual Report: "Launching an international device range, following an indication from Apple that they are actively considering offering our Generation 2 sockets and switches to their online and retail customer base in 25 European countries." Would be a major development for the co......and actually very good for Apple also. The value of that, if fully rolled out and adopted, would be transformative. Not to mention wholesale potential. The £2 million order commitment from Deta, in the first year, points the way. Definitely the best looking switches and sockets on the mkt imo. | mg78
09/1/2018 22:53 | How many shares do people hold on here? or is that a cheeky question. I'm just wondering in the context of risk and reward and whether I have too many shares, and what expectations ppl have and potential exit points and value. I have 40,000 shares. Is that a lot? | whoppy |
