I don't believe John Lewis will shift real volume of the current offering, any more than Apple stores. A product that needs a screwdriver isn't an obvious choice for either. I'm still confused why they chose not to do some nice Gen 2 plug in sockets for a "starter kit", along with the lights and sockets for followup business. If you look at the Philips hue starter kit, you could fit in 5 minutes and be up and running. No screwdrivers required. People like Edmunsons Electrical may hold the keys to success, but lightwave will need to support and promote with equal vigour and have the products pretty bullet proof. The trade will not take any prisoners.

sinkyj, I expect part of the deal with the likes of John Lewis will be to support any promotions they do - give them the money in the hope of securing sales. I have seem so many suppliers suck up to these potential big clients in the hope of being dragged by their coat-tails to increases in volume, often not profits as they effectively loose money on the products they sell them, if you take into account the advertising budget they often offer them as part of the deal.

Overpriced, true - but so is the IPhone , so are many products (Premium) . Alternative explaination , under marketed, so little to on desire from consumers. In fact, brand awareness is virtually zero. I'm also surprised there has been no progress given the money in the bank. Not even basic online methods like remarketing. I used to think there was no money in smart lighting and it was all in security. I have it on very good authority that there is consumer money for the right and correctly marketed products. Have to agree with the no results for shareholders. It seems they are showing their disappointment.

Nothing to drive this higher but a lot to send in sinking into the quicksand imo.

Jam tomorrow! more likely to butter up those that stumped up cash @16p and did not take the profits that were available.

The company have like PSL lost the plot and missed the boat and clearly will continue to burn funds taking on more staff to try to generate sales of a product that has failed to capture any decent market share, in part because it is over priced and still has a limited guarantee.

Target for next funding 5p imo.

Care to work out how much they have consumed to date?

AP is no better than the rest of the board that have failed - all talkers no results for investors.

Recent announcements going down well with the market. Hmmm. Usual story, Jam today didn't arrive but they'll be more Jam tomorrow. Can't help thinking the ordinary shareholder should have been kept informed of issues with a large contract or a change in strategy. This didn't all happen last week. Lots of positives but I guess understandably long term shareholder jaded and just focussing on a lost 2 million. At least it explains the recent lack lustre share performance. The Deta deal has been suspect for a while. There's only 1000 downloads of their app and I guess most were LW users who claim its more reliable that the new LW app. Beginning to wonder if it was wise to reinvest even at these low levels. The positives do look very positive but...............

To get the stock out there, how much credit will they be offering in a last ditch attempt to increase sales.

Has anyone seen the advertising that they said they raised some of the funds for?

No comment how the Apple stores are performing either.

This is turning out to be a real dog imo.

Where are all the new security products that ERA was supposed to be the gateway for?

Revenues from new stocking orders may take up the slack from the diminished Deta contract, or more.

International device range appears to be on track for later in the year.

Positives.

Andrew Pearson, CEO of LightwaveRF, commented: "We entered 2018 with an intent to add further partners that complement and extend our distribution capability. This new set of contracts means we have achieved this and put in place relationships with distributors whose Europe-wide operations will also aid us in launching our international device range later this year."

True......but the apparent lack of action with Deta is disappointing.

I will scrub the following from the header:

"September 2017 onwards: New £2 million order commitment within first year from electronics wholesalers, DETA."

For those who had pencilled in +£2m of revenues from that source for the current year, it's a very mixed RNS.

I could say more but will reign myself in for now.

The start to this year has been disappointing on many levels. No uplift in sales, marketing appears to be none existent still, unless I've not seen it.I thought the new money last year would have kick-started things nicely. I have no idea why it takes nearly 6 months to get white metal plates on some existing products and shipped to the UK. It appears it wasn't possible and no firm dates now. That's poor control of manufacturing and logistics. "Unfortunately there has been a delay on our new releases for February but we hope to get these releases within the next couple of months. Sorry for any inconvenience"Hopefully, they are all very busy working on some big project out of the public eye and we'll get a suprised announcement. If not its been a very poor last quarter for the company, pubically at least.
