Think I am going to be busy digesting the results from various companies today

BATS BT. LLOY VOD

Initially not to enthused by any to be honest.

But will let market settle down before making any more uninformed decisions

Sometimes its just best to go with your gut instinct

In light of sell off in the states and far east more pain to follow

Good luck everyone

Monsieur Oreilly

You are obviously very well read and can pontificate with the best.

But as I have said previously not much of what you say makes much sense to this knuckle dragger.

Correcting my French patois is a waste of time and energy.

I do admire how you exhibit the less desirable French traits

Arrogance and Ill Manners
For the sake of your nearest and dearest I do hope you wash

I have bought Legal and General as I stated in an earlier post and happy with it
Find something that makes you happy and stop being such a miserable being

Bon Chance

Jubber, whilst you as daft as Basil Brush, don't respond to French Pete, he's a grade A plonker, stick to your musings.

I said I would buy Lgen

I did what is the problem.

We can agree to disagree and leave it at that.

lol jubber, your French is as poor as your made up sharedealing. The phrase you are searching for is 'Ta gueule' (literally diminutive your slang animal mouth). My response is Vas te faire foutre. Since you've initiated, I might as well say the common theme throughout your nonsense posts is 'Not going to touch it, not going to touch it, then after a rise, bought yesterday then after a fall, sold yesterday. Or just bought. Then maybe another fall and another just bought. But it's a free country (on this thread) to make up whatever post you want. But why?

Oh, it's c'est la vie as every schoolboy knows.

Can't keep up jubber. You said recently several times you weren't going to touch this (in very wooly flowery langauge) then last week you said you'd bought, and now you imply you've just bought a first dollup today.

Just buy more and forget about them and the markets and write a novel.

Every little helps

At the moment I have an earworm from the film

'A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court'

Busy doing nothing

Still looking to arbitrage PHNX and LGEN but need Lgen to take a little tumble

Is looking increasingly unlikely but fortune favours the brave.

Sticking with the plan

Lgen goes down I buy

Phnx goes up I sell

Be good

Legal & General's valuation is compelling, UBS says in a note. The group has upside from management actions to increase capital generation and the fact that it has the highest solvency in the subsector, analysts write. The U.K. financial services group has high exposure to asset risk but its high solvency can absorb shocks, they add. The next near-term catalyst is the potential sale of its housebuilder CALA Homes, which could release around GBP1.1 billion of capital. These cash proceeds could be used for capital returns and reinvestments but a full share buyback seems unlikely. UBS raises its rating to buy from neutral.

I don't get why they're committed to affordable housing but want want to sell Cala. As owners couldn't they just instruct Cala to build for the lower market end? Strange contradiction to me.
