14/6/2024 11:07 | Anhar, your strategy is sound and associated nonchalance with the MCAP movement. If the dividends of your stock rise satisfactorily consistently but the price remains stagnant, the yield will improve. This in line would eventually force the price up. So you'll always eventuality see the capital appreciation with dividend aristocrats. Good luck to you with your stress free strategy. | ![]() goldgeezer

14/6/2024 09:30 | I'm a diversified long term hold income investor but when I add to my port I expect nothing from capital growth. If it happens fine but it's not why I invest. LGEN has been a dud on gains but very good on divis over the many years I've held and that's all that matters to me. Other shares in the port have been both decent divi payers and have grown too so overall, over decades, port growth has been decent. | ![]() anhar
14/6/2024 08:50 | Looks like they made their first 2M BB yesterday. Current share price is compelling , I have no doubts , but our new CEO needs to understand the fickle market if we are to see the true value of LGEN. The good thing is the long term vision in growth is there and I believe foundations are very strong. Will continue to add YoY at these crazy low prices and yields GLA | ![]() tornado12
14/6/2024 08:48 | The share price is about the same as it was 10 years ago. If anyone has bought this for income in the last 10 years, also expecting capital growth, there wasn’t much evidence that would happen. For income and capital growth, you will end up with eg 3% dividend and a realistic prospect of growth. I don’t get why people buy shares that would be in a pure income fund and then expect permanent capital growth. Unless they enjoy a Homer Simpson lifestyle of “Whohoo - Doh - Woohoo - Doh…” | ![]() yump
14/6/2024 07:37 | Ok thanks Skinny Had picked 226.70 level as good buy in so quite pleased to get a few pips better But did sell some Nat West and Barclays to give me a bit more firepower The dividend here is just too attractive to ignore But ever cautious so baby steps for me Good luck will see if I can get a new algo to base upon last one been shot to pieces | ![]() jubberjim

14/6/2024 07:02 | Legal & General: share price down, UBS lowers guidance June 13, 2024 at 04:31 pm Share The share price is down -2% after UBS lowered its target price. The Legal & General group yesterday announced a £200 million share buyback for 2024 as part of its plan to increase returns to shareholders. Following this announcement, UBS confirms its neutral recommendation on the stock and lowers its target price to 240p (from 258p), which represents upside potential of only 4%. UBS highlights the fall in EPS, with no increase in shareholders' total return on capital. The realization of private assets is essential in the coming transition period," says the research firm. The Group plans to create a single asset management division and revise its capital allocation policy. Improved returns are targeted, with a compound annual growth rate in core earnings of 6-9%. 14/6/2024 00:54 | On the other hand The wife's mental state is difficult to ascertain. Sold some of her Lgen @253 few days ago but bought VOD with the proceeds. So time will tell Thanks again for the good wishes. | ![]() jubberjim

13/6/2024 19:37 | Phil The payout PER SHARE remains the same. Rising by 5% this year and a further 2% each year for 2025-2027. Yield = Dividend per share ÷ share price | ![]() 1robbob
13/6/2024 19:36 | They are promising in terms of dividend per share growth, not yield- "5% DPS growth to FY24...followed by 2% DPS growth per annum out to FY27" | ![]() rose_by_another_name
13/6/2024 19:02 | No it's not. And specially not in the context of the question asked. Yield when quoted in fundamentals is as a percentage of the current share price. So the question asked, is will the yield promised by board be higher than promised due to share price drop or will the percentage payout be the same meaning a lower cash payout. | ![]() phil1969
