Laura Ashley listed as one of the magic stocks top outperform.

Lat years screen based on Joel Grennblatt's Magic Formula
comfortably beat the market.

If we an breakthrough 23p and 25p to the upside, we will
have formed a very obvious reverse head and shoulders on
the one year chart. This would be very positive indeed.

With a close above 20.75p, we have a breakout of
the downtrend line dating back to April 2011.

No idea beanie, as much as holders wish to sell for. I bought these over 14 years ago at 32p, so I've been a long term sufferer. If it wasn't for the divi, I'd be long gone.

On Mr Wong's appointment, Tan Sri Dr K P Khoo, Chairman, said, "On behalf of the Board, I am delighted to welcome Mr Wong to Laura Ashley (RNS today).

The appointment will help the Company's objective to take it private- the writing is on the wall for this former English darking that will imported to Malaysia.It can only be a matter or time in my opinion.

Yes - good news there for JQV. Unlikey to receive full bid here I think but FCCN could well be taken out. Reported poor 3rd Q sales in retail UK stores and price has been hammered - currently valued at cash but Stephen Marks owns huge stake and might well take it private.

DYOR - I hold all three stocks!

Offer for Jacques Vert (JQV), at a 68 per cent premium this morning, might be affecting this.

The small drop in sales will more than be offset by the gains due the reduction of costs due to the closures imo. The beauty is that on-line sales are growing and I see no reason why this should not continue with such a strong brand.

If it did, I would just continue to accumulate.
Vod dividend paid feb, and ezj dividend 2 March,
so I would just reinvest the dividend here.

We shall see.

Thank you, nice posting to you.

I am not interested in the share price surging,
as I have added aly into my income portfolio
alogside, gvc, vod, bpty ( 5% div nxt yr ) and
ezj ( special dividend 13% feb / mar 2012 ).
I am just happy to accumulate and receive the
10-15% dividend each yr.

Small Company Share Watch - same stable as Momentum Investor. IMHO they've had some good spots over the 15 years I've subscribed....and some duffers too - don't we all have them!
