The whole retail sector up today and ALY looks the cheapest of the lot out there with the largest yield imo.

Brimg on th trading statement - Next statement is stunning today imo.

Don't worry about me - I'm well in profit and will be banking a wadge with that divi and the spike it gets on the next trading statement.

18p to 25p in 3 weeks in Jan - don't miss it when it does it again - oh, and buying 10k was moving the price up 0.5p then :-)

Why are you working on eps of 1.5p brownie69?

they did 1.9p esp last year and Numis forecast 2.1p eps this year

Retailers usually trade on PE's of 12+ if they are anything decent imo. Good growth here, no debt and a 7% yield.

I'd say 2.2p eps this year and a PE of 14 for the growth rate + 2p for the cash (valuations rarely value cas at what the cash is worth imo) - gives 31p fair value based on this years earnings imo.

But I suspect come the interims investors will see these have done better than expectd, next years earnings forecasts will be upped and a PE of 14 on those earnings will take these a bit highe to say 35p imo.

So for me, 35p after they go xd and after the interims, if my earnings expectations are matched imo.

Agree with CR's current valuation analysis.

I'd love a chance to top up pre Ex Div at 18p!

However at what price should we sell? 12 x EPS of 1.5p = 18p +5p cash = 23p?

On the other hand if they continue to rationalise UK stores and increase international sales into faster growing economies sand continue to develop the online sales that I've move the multiple of earnings element toward a 14 or 15 times earnings.

The brand is strong enough for further international distribution IMHO.

Nice Laura Ashley umbrellas for sale at my local garden centre at the weekend - wasn't aware of that route to market for ALY.

Frauddy - take a look at my RMV today - £10 :-)

From 169p where I bought.

Instead of spending your time inflating your own pathetic ego getting yourself in silly little books (that I won't be buying) learn to become a proper investor!

How much would that million you put into CARE be worth now had they gone into RMV?
