This is a great trading share, for the last couple of years i have bought maybe 70k in shares, not a huge investment, but at something like 16p and sold around 22p. Coupled with a useful profit is a decent percentage divi. Long may it continue.

IFyou buy a stock on the x date you don't receive the divi.If you want to
receive the divi and want to sell your share you need to sell on or after
the x date ; hope thats understandable.

Thanks for the advice. I have dealt in these many times and am fairly sure that I have sold on the ex day in the past and been ok. Just dumped 20k at slightly more than I paid for them so, time will tell.

Check with your broker as sometimes bsl advise to hold
all day to be certain.

Best to contact your brioker or ALY company registrar.

They go ex divi today, which means that if you held them at close of business yesterday you qualify for the divi. Which means that I can sell them now and still get it. I know this is the case but I just want reassurance.

Good article in the investors chronicle with
a good value attached. The solid dividend yield will
encourage investors. Expecting a move towards 24p
very soon.

I have been following this one for yrs, based
on the yield alone I have bought in at 19.98p.

This one has been placed in my income portfolio
alongside gvc and vod.

Also, there is a argument for being in my recovery
portfolio aswell based on cash and pe value
alogside cosalt and gvc.

Lets hope the recovery and income story continues.

Fantastic results also.

RNS in May 2008 showed ALY held 9 million Moss Bros shares, 9.8% of the company. Trading at 35-36p, value is therefore £3.2 million.
