Hello, Are Laura Ashley still in administration? does anyone know if i can account my loss here against any capital gains yet or is it too early? if too early does anyone know what needs to happen before i can definitely say this is a 2020 capital loss? Thanks in advance for any help!

UK Yes quite right but it was not, it was recovering and growing profits, the management and auditors involved were to blame. Lets hope the pension regulator seizes their assets and puts them in isolation where they deserve to be. active

SRP you were advised this was dead in the water, you should have sold whilst you could. I’m afraid it is too late, just move on, hopefully something else will help you recover your loss.

https://www.theguardian.com/business/2020/jul/09/second-administrator-to-scutinise-laura-ashley-collapse ------------------------------------ All involved knows what was going on with change of auditors many times, Singapore building purchase and left empty, results showing losses when there was profits, example last statement before the fall saying profits increasing 28%, look at year end when Singapore building sold, we bought it for £28m sold it for £30m plus and they stated we lost money really, personal court matters D and on, go back to 2015 the answers are there follow the trail. -------------------------------- The fsa and boe know and were informed before the collapse I believe, I want my money back. ------------------- dyor

"Dbnout7622 Jan '20 - 11:24 - 678 of 679 Laura Ashley looks a great recovery play. I'm in balls-deep. If ALY isn't a 10 bagger in 2020 I'm done with trading"

ct hxxps://www.pensionsage.com/pa/PPF-pushing-for-joint-adminstrator-appointment-for-Laura-Ashley.php -------- The PPF reportedly wants a “second pair of eyes” to oversee the investigation around the events leading up to the collapse of the chain, echoing the role FRP has previously played as joint administrator at BHS. ================== Yes just go back to June 2015 and follow to today, the trail is there, just whether they want to go along it. I want my money back. The BOE and FCA have been informed I believe. ---------------------------

Yes but they had no idea that the COVID-19 would come along and destroy what was left of the business, and any plans they had set out. w all I suspect done things differently at different times. Good Luck Gold is King.

SRP the company I mentioned, SUFC Sheffield United, you may recall has been bought by an Arab Sheikh. I had no say in the matter, no vote, no offer to buy the shares, and despite 4 letters recently they will not communicate with me. I’ve written it off. Good luck, but sometimes you just have to put it down to experience and move on.

ct I am fine, the losses have ensured no tax cgt charge. But not right them thinking they can just stamp and cross peole who have done nothing wrong, was told from a young age, be strong but be careful who you cross, as sometimes the people you cross might get the opportunity to right the wrong.

f66 You do not say. I will hold mine so they will not have 100%, for what it is worth. At least that will ensure if they relisted in a number of years time I could be part of it. I stand to be corrected. They could make it very easy, contact each remaining shareholder ( there will not be many left as he holds 75% and many would have sold prior to the news re administrators ) and offer them 4p a share.

I have shares in SUFC who delisted, not went into receivership/admin, and the only way to trade these is for my broker to let the market know that shares are available and see if anyone responds. Clearly I don’t understand the actual mechanics of how it works but that is the gist. Two years later I’m still holding!!

spr "You may be able to sell your investment via an off exchange venue, if this available. Further information may be obtained from the company directly. You will need to receive a certificate to do this. If it is available, we can request one on your behalf." No idea what an off exchange venue - clearly need info from ALY in due course
