Since all this news come out, 101.7 million has been wiped off the share price, now they estimate that worst way of everything excluding the recent japan situation was 55 million, so that leaves another 46.7 million in which would have to be the loss realised in japan if this fall was to be realistic, now obviously we know that lancashire are in property by a large amount but where it is I do not know, I looked at the annual report and it said we are exposed by 16.6 million in the far east, so surely on that basis we cannot be exposed barely at all to this recent event?
Unless I made a mistake there then it should of only wiped 71.6 million of the market cap, so on that basis its a good buying opportunity, would anyone agree? or have i made a school boy mistake somewhere?

Results look ok, but not spectacular. Good to hear that they did not have a large exposure to the Australian floods.

New here so missed out on that one but good to hear that bit of information. It may be possible that the rise is in anticipation of favourable news on Monday. [I will be listening in on that one - details available on the Company website]

SP has just passed the level it had reached before the autumn divi announcement, which is a faster recovery than in 2009/10. Will we be seeing 7.50 plus by autumn?

Good to see the up-trend resume. This share is a trader's delight. It is never still, even when with small volumes traded.

Lots of price movement today, possibly due to the general market activity, but good to see us climbing back to the pre dividend area.

I see I received 89.33p per share in lieu of the $1.40 dividend for my CFD position. Fair exchange rate.

Sorry if this is a stupid question, but I have the record date for the special div as tomorrow, so why did we drop yesterday? I can see that ADVFN has the share flagged as ex-div, which obviously explains it, but I don't understand where the 10th comes in.
