27/12/2013 16:05 | Appears to be on the verge of breaking out again and with an anticipated positive trading statement imminent a good share to be aboard I would suggest. DYOR. CH. | churchtower
24/12/2013 15:58 | For the last two years (9/1/12 and 11/1/13) a pre close trading statement, following the financial year end on 31 December has been issued. I would therefore expect such a statement during the week commencing 6th January 2014. The recent impressive strength would seem to indicate that it could be favourable. I maintain my price target of 317 medium term, although a confident statement and outlook could well drive it much more quickly towards that target. My best wishes at this Christmas time to you Werty and all contributors to this thread. CH. | churchtower
24/12/2013 12:55 | Thanks Church, would like to see this travel above 300p within a few months next year. GLA and have a good Christmas. | werty5
23/12/2013 05:14 | Good to see you buying back in again Werty. Good news also for Laird this morning with Apple and a major deal agreement in China. ( ) CH. | churchtower
20/12/2013 16:55 | Sold out some of my shares earlier this month but have reinvested on todays pullback think I will now use a 20 day SMA and a 50 day SMA to make my decision of when to sell. Share still looks perky and has established itself above the last high on the chart. GLA regards werty. | werty5
19/12/2013 11:31 | I am just hoping there isn't the possibility of a takeover emerging. Over the years I have lost several of my best shares in this way. CH. | churchtower
19/12/2013 11:20 | churchtower, No probs. I have raised my stop-loss to £2.50p, LRD looking good for 2014. | contrarian2investor
19/12/2013 08:32 | C2I - I am glad I kept faith with this one. I regret that the charting package I use is the one which comes with an IG Index Account and I am not aware of any way that I can reproduce them or would indeed be allowed to on this ADVFN board. I still have a target price of 317. Regards CH. | churchtower
18/12/2013 19:26 | churchtower, Great call this morning. Please can you post one of your charts? TIA c2i | contrarian2investor

18/12/2013 09:07 | Breaking out. My technical indicators RSI, MACD, STOCH and CCI all looking positive. CH. | churchtower
17/12/2013 15:45 | Buyers slowly getting the upper hand ? Breakout soon ? | churchtower
13/12/2013 17:44 | I have raised my stop-loss to £2.40p. GLA c2i | contrarian2investor
25/11/2013 12:01 | This breakout, if maintained, from the neckline of the very obvious current reverse head and shoulders pattern, in my opinion gives a measureable target in the medium term of 317. CH. | churchtower
22/11/2013 10:38 | Church I don't find you or your question impertinent in fact I find yourself one of the more pleasant people to converse with on the BB's and I often ask questions myself as I find it is a good way of learning how other people trade, sometimes I find what they have to say of use and at other times I disreguard it out of hand. To expand a little further on what I posted before when I first started the trade my plan was to equal where the price got to last year before begining to trim back, at the moment I have taken out 15% of my holding and will probably keep trimming back at between 15% to 20% at a time when I see fit. I feel always best to phase out of a trade and I never try to find the top as that is next to impossible to do. Good luck with your trade but take care not to leave to long and don't beat yourself up too much by closing out early, it is better to walk away with a profit. Good luck. Regards Werty. | werty5
22/11/2013 08:56 | Thanks Werty5 for your response to my somewhat impertinent enquiry. Your prudence may well be rewarded only time will tell. Regards CH. | churchtower
22/11/2013 08:46 | Well Church have to say it is mostly prudence sometimes works in my favour, sometimes not also the fact that as stated in Lairds IMS this is the last of their favoured quaters. My trimming back is being done in a slow and measured way if price gets above 2.65 may well look at putting funds back in. The fact remains nobody ever knows what will happen next and all we can do is follow our instincts to a degree the secret is acting fast if you get it wrong and acting slowly if you have it right. Regards Werty. | werty5
22/11/2013 07:39 | Werty5 - I am interested to know why apart from prudence and the matching of a recent previous high (bear in mind the share price was above 550 a few years ago) you are top slicing a rising share with good fundamentals, prospects and a vey healthy dividend. The share price is presently at the neckline of a very obvious ten month reverse head and shoulders pattern which if broken would I suggest indicate possible further strong upward movement over the next 12 months. Regards - CH. | churchtower
21/11/2013 16:52 | Not sold right out Church just starting to trim back think it is prudent as price is just above last years high. Will keep top sliceing all the way from now on. | werty5
20/11/2013 17:17 | you could be right there ch, could go either way tho if werty and cont are representative of the wider investment community it'll go down. I was gonna press the button as well. Already cut it in 1/2 on last jump to 238 so decided to let it run a bit longer cos the divis not bad. S | stpalm
20/11/2013 16:47 | 255 broken which is the highest close since September 2008. Also looking strong against the overall market trend today. Will be interesting what happens tomorrow. Recent sellers may also begin to have second thoughts perhaps and climb aboard again. CH. | churchtower
20/11/2013 14:08 | Rising intraday lows since 7th of this month forming a flat topped triangle with resistance at 255. A breakout upwards should result in a short term target of 265. Dividend yield is 4.2% at present price and a PER of 17.1. CH. | churchtower
18/11/2013 15:32 | I am also slowley unwinding my position. | werty5
15/11/2013 17:48 | I sold 40% today. Left the rest on a stop-loss of £2.30p. GLA c2i | contrarian2investor |
