21/3/2013 11:06 | We live and learn - apologies Werty . Kangaroo tails are patterns that point out trading opportunities for traders. It has been introduced in Alexander Elder's book, Come Into My Trading Room. The tails could be used to mark trend reversals in markets. While trends need long time to form, the kangaroo tails are formed in just a few days. The kangaroo tail pattern takes a minimum of three bars to form. A tail is a one-bar in bar chart or one-stick in candle stick chart, which spikes in the direction of a trend, with surrounded narrow bars at the beginning and at the end. That middle bar is the tail, but traders will not know for sure until it followed by a reversal in the following day, when a bar or a stick has sharply narrowed back at the base, letting the tail hang out. Certainly we are very close to the upward trend support line with three points of contact which commenced in late 2011. | churchtower
21/3/2013 10:59 | I think he is making it up. Just think of an animal and it's body part, ie: aardvark's nose, and bingo, you can sound all techie too :) | redips2
21/3/2013 08:26 | Werty - Hopped in surely. For us less technically zoologically chart blessed can you kindly enlighten us as to the proven record of kangroo tales please ? I have to admit I am limited to the use of head and shoulders in the shower. Regards CH. | churchtower
20/3/2013 22:00 | Tail formed and I have jumped in, with luck kangroo tail should start a bit of a bounce back. Fingers crossed. | werty5
18/3/2013 19:59 | looks like a kangaroo tail is forming, will know for sure tomorrow. | werty5
12/3/2013 19:35 | Yes the charts a bit of a giveaway werty5, good share to have though, imo.(see if I can hit the buy button soon!) | scottishfield
12/3/2013 19:32 | About 7% down from this shares high reckon this must be getting near to a stop loss area for a few share holders if stop losses start to ping in could be this share has further to go before a turn around. On the other hand because share has fallen at such a rapid rate a sharp bounce back could be on the cards looking at chart would say at around the 228 mark as always only my own opinion. | werty5
12/3/2013 17:33 | come on lrd, enough of this down. | scottishfield
12/3/2013 08:14 | Artemis, Laird's largest major shareholder have increased their holdings by 488,761 shares giving them 12.1% of the Company. | churchtower
08/3/2013 17:49 | Tree shake is always an option and I by no means say that i am right because at the end of the day if any of us were 100% sure we would all be a lot richer than we are. Don't get me wrong I still think this is a good share and I am still looking to invest so this being on the slide is a good thing from my own POV. | werty5
08/3/2013 15:46 | Bit windy up here in the tree tops today but shall continue to sit on my eggs. | churchtower
08/3/2013 15:28 | The fall today seems quite sudden and for seemingly no reason? Results were good and if traders wanted out they could have before today. | 8mp
08/3/2013 15:26 | Could it be a tree shake werty5? | 8mp
08/3/2013 15:17 | No sign of LRD share slide stopping it is quite a bit below it's 26 week EMA now. Seems to me that although results at year end were good a lot of traders are now leaving the share to perhaps return in the second half of the year where most of Lairds earnings are made. | werty5
05/3/2013 17:29 | Thanks werty5 & sleveen! | 8mp
05/3/2013 14:03 | 8MP probably the flat Q1 trading. | sleveen
05/3/2013 11:19 | Not in this share yet but looking to get in shortly. In answer to 8MP's question I would say that some profit taking and the fact that the company has reported that it's earnings are weighted toward the second half of the year may have had an effect on the share price However I think the fundamentals look good and think that it's value will out in the end. Suggest keeping a close eye on it in case it keeps on falling but think price will steady over next few days. | werty5
05/3/2013 08:04 | Any thoughts on the share price drop over the last few days? | 8mp
01/3/2013 11:33 | Fantastic chart; fantastic results and fantastic potential!! | philjeans
01/3/2013 09:05 | Bit of a wait and see for the second half if revenues same as H1 last year | zipstuck
01/3/2013 08:43 | Looks v satisfactory, but let's see what the brokers have to say. | redips2
01/3/2013 08:23 | Bit of a wait and see for the second half if revenues same as H1 last year | zipstuck
01/3/2013 07:57 | I would agree. Particularly impressed in this present climate with PBT exceeding the highest estimate of the eight brokers covering and 10% increase in margins. CH. | churchtower
01/3/2013 07:45 | Looks like a great set of results to me! Any thoughts? | 8mp |
