Strange share. So they have a technology funded by the US government that can detect the presence of virus simply by monitoring the air. And it halves in value?! I can only assume the sellers know something we don't, and shouldn't be trading on it. Oh well - some have ability, others need to cheat. Cash call incoming?

I wonder if they will announce the final results tomorrow to coincide with any additional contracts and the proposed new product launch.

Final results last year was end of June. So we are 2.5months behind, not looking promising.

Kromek’s valuable IP materially undervalued.

A trading update from Kromek (KMK:17.5p), a radiation detection technology company focused on the medical, security screening and nuclear markets, prompted a 12 per cent share price markdown that simply isn’t warranted.

True, Covid-19 restrictions means that two key contracts will be postponed until the new financial year, the impact of which is that Kromek will break even on a cash profit basis in the 12 months to 30 April 2020. However, the contracts have only been delayed, not lost. There is clearly demand for its products as highlighted by the massive ventilator order I commented on in mid-April (‘Stockpicking for bear market gains’, 16 Apr 2020).

Moreover, analyst Paul Hill at Equity Development points out that Kromek is well advanced on its US Department of Defence contract to develop a groundbreaking vehicle biological threat detector that rapidly detects any airborne pathogen used in germ warfare. Mr Hill understands that the “same first-of-its-kind science can also accurately and consistently recognise Covid-19” and could have “substantial benefits for many non-military applications, such as shopping centres, sports arenas, theme parks, schools, hospitals, offices, airplanes, and cruise ships”.

This is certainly not being priced in, nor is the real possibility of additional ventilator orders. The shares offer 100 per cent upside to my 35p target price. Buy.

this needs a new update. reported in press weekend that russia has invented tech that can identify pathogens, viruses in the air from a portable unit that can be mounted anywhere!seems exactly like what kromek are working on with usa d force!
maybe, they have stolen or hacked it from kromek!
but, can anybody actually believe them or china!

Good to see life in this young pup yet. Chart suggests some level of support circa 15. If it holds we ought to see a sustained if slow rise imo dyor ofc.

Yep, my buy showing up as a sell too. Initially offered 14.14p and then finally 14.18p. Point is, I think those 14.14p are buys too.

Just via dummy trades doug...I have been monitoring over last few days and the number of shares available has been dropping along with the share price There were over 100k available at start of week, about 65k yesterday and down to 5k this morning.

When the share price nudged up to 13.75-14 earlier, there were 65k available again but after the 30k buy just gone through it's back to just 5k which is encouraging. Would expect a further nudge up now.

Edit - just 1k available now. Topped up my spreadbet long as I seem to be able to buy more via spreadbet than shares via main market.

How can you see the number of shares available to buy, is this through Level 2? Keen to know how to see that. There were a few large 'round number' 105, 200, 100, 110 thousand (volume) shares sold in the past few days. Maybe someone getting rid of all their stock? Hmmm, very tempting now.
