06/3/2024 10:34 | They've got their hands on almost all the basin off South Africa now. | ![]() fraserdean
06/3/2024 07:31 | 3B/4B farm down to Patrick P + QE. | ![]() xxnjr
01/3/2024 08:19 | Chariot? No idea. They do seem to pay themselves a lot which is a cash drain. Enigma is probably that medium to largish prospect to Sth of Jonker and to E of Damara as seen on some charts. | ![]() xxnjr
29/2/2024 16:57 | Enigma, oooh, that's a nice name. Off topic, new note on Kosmos from Jefferies target of 610p. At what point does Chariot stop falling? | ![]() fraserdean
27/2/2024 01:08 | Shell's Deepsea Bollsta is off to drill another well on their block: Enigma-1X | ![]() xxnjr
22/2/2024 17:57 | Remember on the call PP said "we don't have the DST" now they do have some data, as Mangetti was flaring in early hrs of 17/Feb you can see it on zoomearth. | ![]() xxnjr
22/2/2024 14:36 | RG don't seem to have done much with the block. | ![]() xxnjr
22/2/2024 12:35 | Yep a real pain, farm down due to close on Feb 14, RoyalGate sent the letter on Feb 13, not friendly. Panoro hoping for new EG rig end of Q2... | ![]() fraserdean
22/2/2024 09:15 | Upstream....."A US-headquartered company is taking Equatorial Guinea’s government to court over the loss, “without notice or due process”, of a gas-prone exploration licence that was subsequently awarded to Africa Oil Corporation. At the heart of a case brought by Houston-based RoyalGate Energy, which will be heard in London, is its allegation that the government illegally stripped the company of any rights it had over prospective Block Z and, in doing so, breached the terms of its long-standing production sharing contract (PSC). Block Z — renamed Block 31 — is now in the hands of Africa Oil, which is currently in the midst of a farm-out process, with the aim of securing a partner to drill an exploration well within the next two years." | ![]() xxnjr

09/2/2024 17:03 | Indeed, that's quite extreme | ![]() fraserdean
09/2/2024 11:47 | Oh-dear!.....Trident Energy and its partners in an oil and gas complex offshore Equatorial Guinea have terminated a rig contract with Island Drilling because they are “of the view” that the semi-submersible “is not operationally in a condition to safely drill the wells”. | ![]() xxnjr
08/2/2024 16:03 | Market clearly uninterested in Tucker's utterances! | ![]() xxnjr
08/2/2024 12:22 | Doesn't really add much to PP's "found hc's in Mangetti, found HC level in Venus the extension to the North". He also said "we don't have the DST yet" and "an additional resource, it's not huge"..... which I'm kind of thinking referred to Mangetti. It's Patrick. He likes to keep everyone guessing! As he said "wait and see" (at some point the size of Namibia). | ![]() xxnjr
08/2/2024 10:06 | Looks like AOC had a bit of a hissy fit about the comments on Mangetti | ![]() fraserdean
07/2/2024 18:16 | They do indeed give him extra freedom. I fell mangetti proved up the venus extension but not much else. | ![]() fraserdean
07/2/2024 12:10 | Fascinating as usual. Never a dull moment with Patrick P. The analysts love him. Not many takeaways on Namibia which will disappoint the Swedish PI's. Mangetti still a mystery perhaps pending testing. Venus extended to North and may drill a well to delineate the south. As with Shell 'sweet spots' get's a mention. Referenced Suriname. Total downplayed that one. Even their 50% partner Apache were anticipating a 120K development and suddenly out of the blue Total ups it to 200K development. Seem to be following the same play book here which is a little frustrating for Africa Oil holders. | ![]() xxnjr
06/2/2024 21:42 | OK, thanks! Total have bought 75% of Tungsten Explorer for less than 2 yrs of day rate. | ![]() xxnjr
06/2/2024 18:09 | If you like drying paint you'll love them. The main takeaways are that they're both unbelievably resilient and apparently challenging a lot of things that could potentially be bad if they weren't challenged. They're also laser focused on helping the world survive while simultaneously increasing oil output in the short term. | ![]() fraserdean
06/2/2024 13:27 | 70 days after spud, Jonker 2-A appears to have been continually flaring since 11:30pm last night. (missed Bp and Shell calls - am waiting for Q&A recordings) | ![]() xxnjr
06/2/2024 10:44 | Quite a lot of vaguery then, will find out more tomorrow I guess, Shell was equally vague last week. Not looking good in Senegal, big shame. | ![]() fraserdean
05/2/2024 11:32 | Some suggestions in the full article they found HC's at 2 levels in the Mangetti prospect "and was also successful in hitting the Venus reservoir." whatever that means. If Venus extension contains commercial oil presume that will lead to a resource upgrade? | ![]() xxnjr
05/2/2024 10:37 | Upstream "TotalEnergies has made another oil discovery offshore Namibia, although it is too early to say if the find is commercial....." Dunno where that came from. Maggi? Roger? A Yellow Tail or Blue Shark? Anyway Patrick P results call on Wed 7/Feb. Would imagine PP is a pretty good poker player :) | ![]() xxnjr |
