Enigma is probably that medium to largish prospect to Sth of Jonker and to E of Damara as seen on some charts.

Upstream....."A US-headquartered company is taking Equatorial Guinea’s government to court over the loss, “without notice or due process”, of a gas-prone exploration licence that was subsequently awarded to Africa Oil Corporation.

At the heart of a case brought by Houston-based RoyalGate Energy, which will be heard in London, is its allegation that the government illegally stripped the company of any rights it had over prospective Block Z and, in doing so, breached the terms of its long-standing production sharing contract (PSC).

Block Z — renamed Block 31 — is now in the hands of Africa Oil, which is currently in the midst of a farm-out process, with the aim of securing a partner to drill an exploration well within the next two years."

Oh-dear!.....Trident Energy and its partners in an oil and gas complex offshore Equatorial Guinea have terminated a rig contract with Island Drilling because they are “of the view” that the semi-submersible “is not operationally in a condition to safely drill the wells”.

Doesn't really add much to PP's "found hc's in Mangetti, found HC level in Venus the extension to the North". He also said "we don't have the DST yet" and "an additional resource, it's not huge"..... which I'm kind of thinking referred to Mangetti. It's Patrick. He likes to keep everyone guessing! As he said "wait and see" (at some point the size of Namibia).

I fell mangetti proved up the venus extension but not much else.

Fascinating as usual. Never a dull moment with Patrick P. The analysts love him. Not many takeaways on Namibia which will disappoint the Swedish PI's. Mangetti still a mystery perhaps pending testing. Venus extended to North and may drill a well to delineate the south. As with Shell 'sweet spots' get's a mention. Referenced Suriname. Total downplayed that one. Even their 50% partner Apache were anticipating a 120K development and suddenly out of the blue Total ups it to 200K development. Seem to be following the same play book here which is a little frustrating for Africa Oil holders.

If you like drying paint you'll love them.
The main takeaways are that they're both unbelievably resilient and apparently challenging a lot of things that could potentially be bad if they weren't challenged. They're also laser focused on helping the world survive while simultaneously increasing oil output in the short term.

70 days after spud, Jonker 2-A appears to have been continually flaring since 11:30pm last night.
(missed Bp and Shell calls - am waiting for Q&A recordings)

Some suggestions in the full article they found HC's at 2 levels in the Mangetti prospect "and was also successful in hitting the Venus reservoir." whatever that means. If Venus extension contains commercial oil presume that will lead to a resource upgrade?

Dunno where that came from. Maggi? Roger? A Yellow Tail or Blue Shark? Anyway Patrick P results call on Wed 7/Feb. Would imagine PP is a pretty good poker player :)
