Posted at 17/6/2024 09:17 by xxnjr Rig for KOS/EG just left Ghana waters. From tanker movements Jubilee production currently looks 90K (or even less) which is pretty bad considering it was supposed to be over 100K and had 15 wells drilled into it over last few years. The 3 producers drilled this year appear to have added slightly more than zilch on a sustained basis. Apparently no new JUB drilling for at least 12 months. A 4D seismic is in the planning stage (shoot that 1st then drill?). |
Posted at 29/4/2024 07:41 by xxnjr DALLAS, Texas, April 29, 2024 - Kosmos Energy (NYSE/LSE: KOS) ("Kosmos" or the "Company") announced today that it has successfully re-financed its reserve-based lending ("RBL") facility extending the maturity by approximately three years, with the RBL facility's final maturity now in December 2029............Neal Shah, Chief Financial Officer, said "Re-financing the RBL facility is another important step to optimize Kosmos' capital structure and proactively address our debt maturities. With the re-financing of the RBL and the recent convertible bond issuance, we have no maturities until 2026 and lower interest expense going forward. We thank our bank group for their continued support as we grow the company." |
Posted at 19/10/2023 22:18 by xxnjr They love TSLA and NVDA (although the former may be in for a rough patch).Seem to recall Chevron were our partners in KOS Mauritania then exited after initial discoveries. Enter Bp. who now seem to be leaving (apart from GTA). 3rd time lucky perhaps? maybe a Chinese outfit with longer time horizons otherwise MAU-SEN potentially withers on the vine. |
Posted at 11/10/2023 07:11 by xxnjr Tiberius discovery; pre-drill KOS said:-• Kosmos: 33% working interest and operator • Four-way structural trap in the outboard Wilcox trend • Spud July 2023 with results expected end-3Q 2023 • Targeting gross resource of ~135 mmboe |

Interestingly Nara-1X is just 1.05kms W of 2913B/2912 boundary. for ref boundaries are on these meridians. 013.30.00E 2913A/B 013.00.00E 2913B/2912 |

Posted at 09/5/2023 08:14 by xxnjr KOS Results. Ghana numbers continue to be weak. Good job we have GTA to look forward too! That still seems to be on schedule which is good news. [fpso still in Singaphore according to Marine Traffic]AOI Deepsea Mira continues to make good progress. Now at a similar latitude to Gabon. |
Posted at 27/2/2023 08:16 by xxnjr KOS: "FPSO: Currently in Singapore for the scheduled installation of fair leads, following sailaway from the COSCO shipyard in January 2023. The vessel is then expected to resume its voyage to West Africa arriving in the second quarter of 2023" |
Posted at 20/2/2023 13:47 by xxnjr Some new expln block awards by EGKOS: 24% of EG-01 (Panoro OP 56%). It's inshore of Ceiba and Okume. AOI: 80% of EG-31 & EG-18. EG-18 has a similar fan to Namibia/SAfr. AOI's EG-18 is N of and adjoining Kosmos EG-24. EG-24 could be an interesting block! |
