Too late for Wentworth and Invictus still very much a punt.
Probably a good buy on the Chariot imagine they'll creep back up a bit over the next week or two.

Ok, thx. I bought some Chariot into the close. Gut feel Energean are a reasonable, quite good even, catch and being carried through the next well get's them closer to the start line. Haven't a clue about their green hydrogen stuff though! Haven't a clue about Wentworth and Invictus either but have googled them.

It's more jam tomorrow. Basically Energean are only committing to $10m plus a carry on another well. Only when the results of that well are in does the proper money arrive so it's a bit of an unknown... Good week for Invictus and Wentworth though.

Is the Energean farm-in positive for Chariot SP?
Seems like progress to me but share price reaction suggests otherwise.

"Shell has just started drilling a second appraisal probe on its multibillion-barrel Jonker oil discovery in Namibia’s Orange basin, a staggering 23 kilometres from the discovery well. According to marine intelligence provider VesselsValue, the semi-submersible rig Deepsea Bollsta spudded this latest delineation well last week, fresh from completing what a Shell spokesperson told Upstream was a “successful221; operation on the Jonker-1A appraisal probe....."

It was on slide 14 of

webcast comments suggested a decent amount of resource in C+Okume left to exploit with higher recovery factor etc. afaics decline rates seem favourable (lot less than Jubilee which is >20% without constant drilling).

Ophir was so long ago I'd forgotten what Fortuna was!

Ah intersting thanks didn't realise EG had improved terms, not much interest of late outside LNG, interesting to see if they get Fortuna done and who takes up from Exxon.

Yep they're slipping out one bit a day...

I think the regulator said it was something like 3,000 bbl, may be 300 it's out there somewhere.

And yes BP seem lost in the wilderness, not sure which wind to follow

A lot of this recent upstream stuff is just regurgitated RT on last call. Today we have "Equinor has struck a deal to sell its entire Nigerian upstream business, including a key stake in Chevron's big Agbami oilfield in OML 128, to indigenous player Chappal Energies.

However, the agreement has the potential to be scuppered because it is subject to pre-emption rights.

Africa Oil, which together with BTG holds an interest in Agbami partner Prime, recently expressed an interest in Equinor's holding......"

Can't be much if any surface oil as a 3D seismic survey currently underway just south of Akpo which is fairly close to Engina.

That's the french for you. may depend on results, if Mangetti is found to include a venus extension or if the shallower reservoir is positive they may stay up't north before heading down souff after the new seismic is shot.

Total have spent a lot on Venus-1A, approx

107 days to drill, log etc
26 days between rig return and actual DST start
33 days since DST start.

Believe it was cored at some point. possibly also a sidetrack?

When/where rig goes next will be interesting.

Shell were on J-1A about 90 days.

GTA FPSO finally out of vortex and nearing Cape Town.

According to Upstream "Allseas enormous Pioneering Spirit pipelay vessel has arrived at the site of BP’s delayed and over-budget Greater Tortue Ahmeyim (GTA) project offshore Senegal and Mauritania....."

Marine Traffic. The free version in ok. ISTR I have a very minor subscription but can't remember what that was for and anyway most of the time I'm not logged in and still works. When I find an area of interest i zoom into that, then copy and paste the full address into my Imac as a bookmark. try this

hover over the dots and a vessel name might appear. If not click on it and will show time of last signal.

you can use the filter on MT to screen out anything other than

Tankers (red)
Ports/Anchorages (yellow)
Tugs, offshore supply ships & rigs which as you can see are same colour (turquoise)
otherwise it gets a bit cluttered.

Now stopped at 7.12 kms SW (209°) of J-1A & exactly on the boundary. Rig initially went to the boundary on a SW heading. Then travelled due south along it. Most maps have V & J as independent prospects. Some early maps had them down as one contiguous thing. ISTR Shell/Total are sharing data.
