25/1/2024 12:49 | As expected, inline ___________ Ish. 2% revenue miss which looks like organic 7.5% H2 vs 10.5% H1 so still declining (even taking into account the Hollywood work dent of 2.5%). Made up by EBIT margin beat at c15.6% vs c15.3% expected to end up bang on expectations. I make they need organic of 8% given acquisitions and that they will get a 2.6% Hollywood benefit for the upcoming year so estimates feel achievable at current levels (just). I personally I will feel more confident here once start to see the organic revenue performance turn otherwise they're relying on EBIT margin holding above guidance. I can see why the market has viewed the tu as a slight negative, revenue forecast has gone £836m to £780m outturn in 6 months, they need to arrest this notwithstanding their market outperformance. | alphabeta4

07/1/2024 14:34 | Video game production company Keywords Studios PLC (AIM:KWS, OTC:KYYWF) suffered a blow to its valuation in 2023 due to artificial intelligence (AI) fears and a weak industry backdrop, but Shore Capital Markets analysts see this as a buy opportunity for a profitable, market-leading company.Despite the 40% share markdown, Keywords posted above-market growth in organic revenues and earnings, while the acquisition of notable video game developer The Multiplayer Group in December provides "an excellent pipeline for 2024", reckon the analysts.Further adding to ShoreCap's investment thesis, Keywords is well leveraged with a 65 million (£56 million) net debt position, with EBITDA margins tipped for 20% in the current financial year.Industry trends are looking favourable for Keywords, with ShoreCap stating: "We continue to see the group as strategically placed, with market share opportunities and our assumption that, following mass layoffs in the industry, we could see an increased demand for outsourcing over the medium term."Furthermore, AI could actually represent an efficient driver for the group rather than an existential threat, the analysts said.ShoreCap sees a fair share price value of 1,800p, indicating a 19% upside against the current market price of 1,510p. | scepticalinvestor

14/12/2023 15:20 | Thank you. Annoyingly Id like to build a portfolio but it's just not me. Plus, I have seen 'good' stocks'get punished when mgt do something crazy or the macro environment changes. I read a really good quote recently: "Only invest in companies where an idiot can run it, because one day, one will." | bulltradept

14/12/2023 15:03 | "It's better to be out of a stock waiting to get in, than in a stock waiting to get out." No, I'm a solid day trader, hence I never break those rules I'm afraid. My psychology you see. :-( | bulltradept

14/12/2023 11:31 | "We all have different risk tolerances, set ups and position sizing." This statement has kept me in the game for the last eleven years, I'm not about to change it now because the market thinks IR's are coming for good macro reasons. | bulltradept
