04/8/2021 11:19 | Interesting company with a pretty staggering revenue record - lots of add-on acquisitions of course - and a pretty impressive shareholder roster. But not a lot of comments here having been a real pi favourite a few years ago. Sadly that means that there is very little research available to the private investor, though I see some 14 brokers follow the company I can only get Edison on Research Tree. Stockopedia was indicating Eu479 revenue and Eu54mn net profit for this year. After the 10mn issue last year the company should be OK for cash for a while. I suppose the burning questions are any negative impact on the games market as the pandemic recedes in developed nations and short-term the news from China on a crackdown on games companies though I know not how this may affect them. But if Keywords is starting to see margins improving at operating level the apparent high cost of entry might not be so intimidating. I am guessing that the share price weakness today is just short-term traders getting out on the good news. | srichardson8
04/8/2021 08:03 | Great update, by my calcs there is no way this is just 'at least in line with exp'. €40m adjusted op profit x2 compares to Edison €72.9m for the full year and ignores the H1 acquisitions and assumes organic revenue goes from a 23% annual rate H1 to zero(!) If Market Screener are right rev is forecast at €486m for the year. By my calculations just with the acquisitions being in for a full H2 that adds €12m putting them on for €488m on zero H2 organic growth. Expecting some chunky upgrades. | alphabeta4

17/5/2021 22:45 | Despite my advancing years i suspect the interactive experience of video gaming industry are vastly under appreciated by equity markets.A lot of very popular films are now largely mimicking video games, the tail wagging the dog ?The screen plays are feeble for the simple reason that they are totally subordinated to the clever trick technology that increasingly dominates popular 'action' films.A lot of action movies are tedious compared with the interactivity provided by games and the ability of those games to enduringly challenge participants over and over again and allow participants to compete online.I'm stating the obvious when i say that video games are an exponential growth market. The price target?I don't seen any reason why KWS shouldn't triple on a 5 year view. | steeplejack
17/5/2021 21:03 | Thanks for sharing. What's your prediction in the short to medium term. I'm curious to see if this recent growth is purely driven by lock down gaming or if this is an indicator of a future trend. Either way I think the share price has seen a strong growth over the last few years. | sidyolo
17/5/2021 09:48 | You’re probably right and i wont be selling any stock. However, directors have recently sold a substantial amount of stock not only filling investor demand but raising the question of why the sellers chose to sell at that time.Either they felt the shares were near fully valued or their decision was more motivated by macro considerations ie equity markets being set for a correction. When directors sell, they make an opportunity cost decision (no matter how they might dress it up) and its more than likely that the price will be overshadowed by that choice for a time.Thats occurred in this case.Placees are down well over 10% from the £28 they paid and that must irritate. The chart shows support levels might come into effect around £24. | steeplejack
17/5/2021 08:13 | Very solid fundamentals. I have no doubt we will see a return to £30+ price. | sidyolo
16/5/2021 16:35 | Keywords Studios gets a brief, but positive, mention in a half page article on the £200bn Video Games market in the Sunday Times Business Section today. The industry is reported to be in a new cycle and more business is expected to come Keywords way. | aimingupward2
05/5/2021 10:48 | I think this has further to go yet but volume is not great. Let's see with US open if this is more than just a technical bounce... | reb_ban
05/5/2021 10:07 | Fingers crossed, perhaps the significant price correction that we’ve seen in recent weeks is coming/has come to an end and this morning's rise heralds a recovery. | aimingupward2
04/5/2021 18:05 | Certain US techs are plummeting due to a change in investor behaviour as the global economy starts to open up...However, I would be suprised if KWS was to be affected as its neither seasonal nor has it 'Blossomed' due to covid but the old adage of 'Sell in May' is interesting except the last two years have been incredibly unusual so I for one continue to accumulate here... | reb_ban
04/5/2021 15:44 | Well, his sale was rather well timed given US tech stocks are plummeting just now.....sell in May etc.It was probably a "seasonal " appreciation that accounted in part for the directors decision to sell when he did. | steeplejack
04/5/2021 14:46 | Quite a significant impact on the share price following the director placing...But I doubt the weakness will continue here for much longer and a 'Bounce' looks incredibly likely so I'm continuing to accumulate! | reb_ban
04/5/2021 13:32 | The placing is not that negative per se but it comes after a sharp upward move in the price. The sale was made by someone who knows the business well and decided that the end of April was an opportune time to sell,an opportunity cost decision. In this instance,a lot of investors will simply think “well ,you know better than me mate,i guess the stocks a bit pricey”.On the other hand, the stock was placed and those long term holders might look beyond an irritating swift 8% drop in the price post the placing and buy on the falls. | steeplejack
04/5/2021 12:16 | when this was announced it didn' read negatively as the reason for the placing was also neutral- the latest brokers forecasts and uptate were very positive as well- i am hopinf gthis will come back | ali47fish

04/5/2021 09:56 | All done and dusted at £28.Giorgio started this company and has decided to off load a good chunk of equity thats why the price is going down.In the US,management are referred to as "insiders" and their dealings always draw a good deal of attention.Less so in the UK.P.E.Q. Holdings Ltd., the holding company of the founders of Keywords led by Giorgio Guastalla (Non-Executive Director of Keywords) (the "Selling Shareholder"), announces its intention to sell up to 3,000,000 shares in Keywords (the "Placing Shares"), representing approximately 4.0% of the Company's issued share capital. | steeplejack
