Well ADVFN has clearly blacklisted my link as a rival to itself but it relates to trading sweet spot if you want to Google it.

An extract, assuming it's allowed is:

"Now, let’s explore the seven common market maker signals and how they work.

7 Common Market Maker Signals
Understanding these signals can boost your trading strategy. Here are seven common market maker signals and what they mean:

1. Market Maker Signals 1 Share
This happens when a market maker buys or sells just one share. It’s a test to see how the market reacts without risking much money. For traders, a 1-share order might signal a bigger move is coming.

2. Market Maker Signals 911
The “911” signal is urgent. It usually means a market maker needs to complete a large order quickly. Traders see this as a sign that the stock price will move soon, either up or down.

3. Market Maker Signals 666
This signal suggests a strong bearish sentiment. Traders see “666” and prepare for the stock price to drop.

4. Market Maker Signals 777
In contrast, “777” indicates strong bullish sentiment. Traders expect the stock price to rise and might buy to benefit from the increase.

5. Market Maker Signals 111
The “111” signal is neutral. It often means the market is consolidating, with no significant movement expected. Traders might hold their positions and wait for a clearer signal.

6. Market Maker Signals 121
This signal shows mixed feelings among market makers. It indicates uncertainty about the stock’s direction. Traders might proceed cautiously, looking for more signals before acting.

7. Market Maker Signals 1000
The “1000” signal points to high activity or strong interest in a stock. It suggests that market makers are heavily involved, which can lead to increased volatility. Traders should prepare for sharp price movements."

It's not a definitive answer but many still believe in MM signals where the 1 trade is supposedly a signal of an incoming RNS or of a bigger move.

Here's an example - [...]

That said, many others are sceptical. It is true though that KZG has seen more than a few of these low un-retail looking trades in recent times.

I've noticed a few of these bizarre trades of minimal value appearing lately. I was going to ask the same question! They are obviously something but personally have no idea.

Does anyone know the reason for a bizarre sale of 202 shares which dropped the price 5percent and then a 202 buy trade that raised the price 15 percent and now a sale of ONE share that drops the share 8 percent. There is obviously a reason but does anyone know definitively why. Thanks

I think the biggest liability a company can have is a management team that shareholders can't trust. As soon as you get to the stage where you announce something that is positive in every conceivable way and shareholders can justifiably shrug and say "that's what you said last time" you have a problem.

And the problem is that shareholders have no basis on which to make an investment decision. I can't say if Kazera is a good investment or a bad one, I couldn't tell you if the Tantalite mine is an asset or a liability, I have no idea if Kazera will be cash flow positive, how cash flow positive, at what level they will be cash flow positive. And at this stage there is no way for management to convince me otherwise... except by delivering.

Most companies where that situation exists don't do well, but there are exceptions.

Penrith,

I think it depends on perspective. If you think back to where Kazera were, getting the cash they got from Hebei was a great thing and it's helped to get the company to where it is today. Kazera wouldn't be the same company without this deal.

The Tantalum mine has been developed and infrastructure put in place by Hebei, they also got the license to mine Lithium and covered operational costs, so the asset is in a better place than it was before and Kazera have had improved cash flow in the interim.

The issue to my mind is the short term affect on cash flow. I think things are still very tight and although I don't doubt Kazera could raise more money it's far better for shareholders if they don't.

No matter what happens from here, the deal with Hebei was a good thing for Kazera, it just looks like a risk right now.

Even if Kazera get the mine back, can't afford to pay the interim costs and raise more money via a discounted placing... the Hebei deal was STILL a good deal for the company... it just wouldn't look good for investors today :-)

We have somehow turned an asset into a liability. Thank goodness we got a chunk of cash .The market seems to have accepted the situation.

Agreed GBCol (your 2060). And it's not just a question of the legal position on paper:

- is the arbitration, which will take place in Namibia, under English law or similar?
- who are the arbitrators?
- Quite apart from Hebei's funding position, would Chinese influence in Namibia impede the enforcement of any arbitration award?
- Our backstop position would be to reclaim the mine which is rather theoretical given the spend and hassle involved

I have no reason to think that this is not a sensible move by the company but we may have to accept a settlement rather lower than our legal position might justify.

I said it a few weeks ago but I still wouldn't be surprised if it is Hebei behind these big trades we've seen of late! Time will tell!

Now we will get a sense of what the legal advice is that Hebei have been given by their lawyers on the agreement. If it’s not looking favourable for them then they will quickly come to the negotiating table. It’s difficult to see what case they can have but always the possibility that maybe they have found an angle. That’s assuming that they actually have the money to pay up.

This needs to be resolved asap so this step by Kazera is a necessary one. Hopefully the short timetable is stuck to.
