You can stop humming the Bonanza theme tune now and start humming Spandau Ballet’s Gold because we are turning to Katoro Gold PLC (AIM:KAT), which said its 1,000-metre drilling programme has now commenced at the Haneti Project project.

Katoro holds a 65% ownership interest in the nickel-copper-cobalt-platinum project with 35% held by Power Metal Resources PLC (AIM:POW). Shares in Katoro were up by around a fifth but curiously shares in Power Metal subsided by 5%.

I would add that BHP are looking to spend 100s millions for Nickel -

Back in Africa looking for Nickel projects. If KAT get the right results then this will be a game changer for both KAT and POW.

The Kabanga project is the largest development-ready nickel sulphide deposit in the world in scale and grade, with at least 30 years life of mine. Nickel is used to manufacture motor vehicle batteries.

They are bound to show good results just to get the share price up, so Paul Johnson can get rid of his 10 million shares and 10 million warrants in KAT, just as he did with his JV with KIBO at Morogoro and Pinewood when he was ceo of Metal Tiger.
Wouldn't trust him as far as i could throw him.

The biggest potential nickel mine is in Tanzania yet it’s failed to come to anything.

Haneti Project Diamond Drill Programme Commences



Katoro Gold PLC (AIM: KAT), the gold and nickel exploration and development company, is pleased to update the market on the Haneti Project diamond drill programme, in which the Company holds 65% ownership interest with 35% held by Power Metal Resources plc (LON: POW). Following the Company's announcement on the 11th January 2022, we can now confirm that the drill rig has successfully been deployed and drilling on the 1000-meter programme has now commenced.

Personally, I think we may see an interest back into mining shares. Those in particular are those metals connected with EVs. I already hold quite a few Lithium plays for the Long term.
