The £0.9m Platcro project earnings in January and February figure ties in exactly with the USD $7m annual earnings in the Indaba Presentation on their website. USD $7m / 1.3 = £5.4m, divided by 6 = £0.9m. Spot on.

21% increase in the basket price since 12 December. Awesome! Not convinced about the slyness angle, JLP need all the cash they can get to feed into other projects.

£2n Jan and Feb x 6 is £12m full year project earnings. £5m of central costs and £1m of interest leaves £6m profit profit before tax when annualised. Then you’ve got DCM fine chrome and PlatCro PGMs to come in Q2 and Q3. And finally Kabwe. I think an announcement is closer than people think. This announcement looks rushed and oddly timed at 4:18.

Leons English is not up to standard. He's confused about what is and what's not a project

as I pointed out previously Xmas in SA lasts for 4 weeks, at least in the mining industry. That's when most of the maintenance is done.

I also said 6500 oz for Q1 would be a good result.

So now Hernic probably between 5500 & 6000oz generating around £1.6m EBITDG&A.

Very pleased with Platcro chrome result.

PH,

Platcro is crunching up big pieces of ore, many more tonnes x10, than the dust and granules the froth floatation plant has to deal with.

No comparison.

Deme,

"Operations update and no news on Kabwe!"

Hmmm, I'm just taking a wild stab in the dark here, but do you think that may be because Kabwe isn't operational yet?

The share price won’t move on this announcement. PlatCro chrome £0.9m for Jan and Feb so let’s say £1.3m for Q1. Hernic £1.1m for Jan and Feb but back to normal in March. Q4 was £2.2m for Hernic so let’s say March will be £0.7m, I won’t add anything more for a higher basket price so £1.8m for Q1. DCM lost £0.1m in Q4, I’m going to assume a similar loss for Q1. So Hernic £1.8m plus £1.3m PlatCro chrome less £0.1 DCM = £3m. Up 38% quarter-on-quarter. I was forecasting £2.8m so slightly up on what I was expecting because I didn’t factor anything in for PlatCro chrome or expect a temporary slowdown at Hernic. Overall, excellent news that PlatCro chrome is contributing ahead of target but disappointing on the temporary Hernic slowdown. Key line for me is “leading to a solid South African platform which precedes our targeted growth into base metals in Zambia.“ Are they clearing the decks for a bigger announcement in the next few days?

What was the purpose of releasing that? What value has that news added? I'm truly shocked at the stupidity of Leon and Colin. I knew something was wrong. Now....what's gone wrong with kabwe?

Just realised tomorrow there's a Public Holiday in South Africa for Human Rights Day, so don't think we will get any RNS tomorrow.

"The Hernic operation continued to deliver strong earnings despite a delayed start-up following the December break and the challenges posed by increased power outages from the South African power grid".

Did Platcro experience the same considering it's a national grid ?

A sly fox would hold back pgm ounces and sell at a higher price, selling a 50% loss in production from Jan and Feb could mean getting £150 per ounce more at the end of March.

1,670 pgm ounces @ £150 is £250,500 more profit.

SLY !

we should really expect dissapointment when JLP and Leon are involved.

yet the roseys on the other thread are now suggesting that "maybe" there is no news on kabwe because they want to release that on its own lol

Shares - Therefore assume earnings for the quarter of circa £3M? ... I would think that's about right.

The problems at hernic explain the radio silence. They needed to get to the end of the disruption before informing the market.
PlatCro chrome looking very good.
DCM fine chrome... sounds like it works

So progress continues to be made
