I've notice how Russia and France have one major thing in common how both countries back their own industries and technology for home production.

Under Angela Merkel, Germany had another thing in common with Russia, continuity of leader, government and government ministers. With Britain continually chopping and changing changing governments and ministers means there is very little continuity and each time there is a change the new minister or Prime Minster has to start from scratch - NASA has the same problem in the United States and why as yet there is no human base on the Moon or no human has yet set foot on Mars.

Britain doesn't have another major thing in common with Russia. When Russia was in the early stages of negotiation to join the EU, Russia wasn't willing to give up many things therefore EU said no to Russia joining while Britain destroyed it's aviation production industry in order to smooth over its path to joining the EEC, giving over Britain's aviation technology, which was 15 years ahead of its time to France with very little in return.

Ever since the price cap was announced by the West, analysts have been saying will reduce Russian oil exports by circa 500,000 to 800,000 barrels/day.

However, if the price of oil rises by 10% because of this reduction this will mean no reduction in oil revenue for Russia. If the price of oil increases by 20% will actually lead to an increase in oil revenue for Russia while at the same time hurting the West, causing the average Western citizen more financial pain and hardship.

I'm watching the next month's oil price movements very closely out of interest. Yes I do wish I could buy petrol a bit cheaper but really cannot see how that could possibly happen. I would like to think that all the European countries and the G7 are intelligent enough and know what they are doing when it comes to this price cap and sanctions but I have a feeling it is going to go pretty pear shaped. All the useful idiots are going to say wonderful Russia will have less cash but they will just keep the oil and sell it more slowly through their other markets. The real people suffering will be Europeans and us British.

Oil prices rebound from early dive as reports vary on OPEC+ output... Seems that short downward movement as ended and it is back to where it started..

Have you blocked my messages?

You seem to be replying to all of the people who criticise you but you are ignoring the people on here who are interested to hear your opinion.

So why do you think existing shareholders will get a separate ringfence of their shares to avoid dilution? This will be good news if it happens but have you seen any evidence that JRS will do this if they have a future capital raise?

And the EU are trying their best now to steal the assets and the property of Russia and Russian people. Do you see any risks that JRS may have their Russian shareholdings stolen by Russia? I think the risks are very low but not zero.

If the vote for the new mandate is successful what benefit do you think this will be for the existing JRS shareholders?

And when and how do you see this terrible conflict ending? Ukraine does not look like they have any serious interest in negotiating at present.

I think Russia will start a big offensive in the winter and if Ukraine still refuse to negotiate then Russia will probably have to take the whole of Ukraine.

g1 - What I think is fair that in a peace agreement is the two oblasts of the Donbass become fully autonomous Republics with in the Ukraine, with their own National Parliaments and Laws similar to Scotland is to day with in the UK. With their own national police force as Catalonia have in Spain. Donbass also having a veto on Ukraine joining any national organisation such as the EU or NATO and if the government in Kiev insists on joining or in any way trying to boss or bully then the Donbass has the right to hold a referendum on leaving the Ukraine to become independent states in their own right or to join Russia - No questions asked and is backed and guaranteed by the West, China, India and Russia.

Crimea remains Russian as many say in the West to happen.

If the Ukraine is not willing to try for peace of accept the above as they have not been since 2014, then I say the 4 regions that voted to reunite with Russia remain Russian.

I guess in this case what has been given and treated badly has reason to be taken back. I believe Ukraine was offered the choice of treating these terrotories fairly and they clearly haven't. Russia is just disappointed with their neighbours behaviour and taking back the gift.

BRWO - all sensible people should be in favour of a negotiated peace that aims to be fair to both sides.

When share holders vote it is usually between 94% to 99% in favour of the resolution.

I think that the JRS change of mandate will be passed, however I wouldn't be surprised if the vote is somewhere between 80/20 to 70/30 in favour.

How can a poster provide linked evidence when the said poster is either posting their own personal experience of the situation or are in communication with someone on the ground - that will mean this valuable information is going to be censored.

It is not valuable information. Sometimes I wonder about your IQ level. Have you been tested recently? You are anonymous and your "source" is anonymous. That means your information has no credibility. It does not mean anything. It has no relevance.

Well I'm posting about people I talk to and have met that are Ukrainian or ex Ukrainian or Russian. Any post other than that have been factual and can be seen on very reputable websites or sources. Of course the EU will not be banning free speech. At least I hope not!

The MOEX Russia index fell over 1.5% to trade at the 2,170 mark on Monday, dropping to the lowest in over two weeks as investors continued to assess the effect that restrictions on Russian energy exports may have on the domestic economy and the government’s fiscal health.

The European Union is set to halt seaborne oil imports from Russia and prohibit the use of European tankers and insurance services on oil shipments starting December 5th. In the meantime, EU states continue to consider a price ceiling on Russian natural gas.

Oil giants Rosneft, Surgut, and Novatek shares all fell over 2%. Metallurgists also continued to fall, erasing the rally earlier in the month. Mechel and Polyus stocks slipped over 3% each.

Its looking likely the EU Parliament will pass a vote 23rd on a resolution naming Russia a ‘state sponsor of terrorism’

Presumably that means Russian propaganda posts without link evidence to the story will be deemed to break advfn rules below

"Ordinary Germans are paying’: anti-war protests stretch across central Europe.

Front page story in the FT today.

Well done the brave protestors across Europe who are prepared to publicly denounce the warmongers, arms-dealers and energy suppliers encouraging this pointless war.

Glavey - Donbass had voted to become independent from the Ukraine, similar to the CSA seeding from the Union.

Before Russia walked in to the Ukraine the armed forces of the Ukraine regularly shelled the Donbass killing between 14,000 and 17,000 innocent civilians in the region.
