nice new £1.9m of purchase orders with long term maintenance contracts

More to come by the sounds of it

not upgrading numbers with this one but upgrading confidence which means this should get a higher multiple. This should be well over 300p

DSM is winding down. It is returning 25% @ NAV end of March, and 25% at above NAV end of June. I think they already have the funds to meet the 1st redemption, and will be securing funds for the end of June redemption now.

Judith MacKenzie is head of Downing funds and is a fan of JNEO, but has to carry out the winding up of DSM (Downing Strategic Micro Fund).

DSM had a NAV of £30.44m at 1 March, so JNEO holding worth ~£831K, I think.

Closing fund down, similar situation at VLX.

Thats a good find Eeza. Any reason whats going on at DSM? Fund liquidation? Seems like a very rapid change of opinion for a fund manager, particularly in a company which is performing well. Managers views of price vs value will evolve but it would be a weirdly quick change of heart, especially when they would know that a rapid sell down like that would hit the price

I believe the weakness is DSM selling down their holding.

They issue a factsheet once a month.
1 Jan shows JNEO at 8.04% (of DSM fund)
1 Feb shows JNEO at 3.01%
1 Mar shows JNEO at 2.73%

There were quite a few large trades late reported for JNEO last week.

The short-term chart shows lower highs & lower lows since the high of 297p on Jan 30.

Needs to close above 262p to break the trend.

Not a chartist but its quite easy to see a trading range starting in late December 2022 and that JNEO has bounced off the top of that a few times and is probably now at the bottom end of that channel. I'm beyond my % of portfolio limit so not in a position to add more unfortunately

Gut feeling is this is a very good buying level now. Not that I have the liquidity to do so myself!

No gap at 230p - but there is a gap from 28 Nov 2023 from 216 to 223.

Am buying on the dip, new position for me, but DSM selling stakes often provides a really good buying opportunity. Interesting thread as well thanks. Worth looking at DSM stakes and working out what you think has "legs". I have also bought NBB, if it hits its targets it will be on an EV/EBITDA ratio of about 2 during this year IMO.....

GLA and DYOR

Yeah I don't see how a signalling focussed operation are a competitor tbh. It's a different market.

Why JM? I can't see anything in that article that is negative for JNEO or even that relevant, perhaps other than a clear statement from government that there will be further investment in modernising railways - but we knew that anyway.
