The thrust is that there is more growth and imrpoved margins to come:

"Continued margin improvement in all three divisions....potential for further improvement
Oil & gas and power markets expected to remain strong
Continuing to invest for future growth

Engineering & Production Facilities - strong revenue and EBITA growth; margin improvement

Well Support - good revenue growth...investing to deliver further margin improvement

Gas Turbine Services - strong revenue and EBITA growth

Focus on higher margin areas and our ongoing cost reduction...will provide further margin improvement"
Big increase in dividend to reflect confidence.

It isn't easy to do this stuff - grow revenue and increase margins. Most companies settle for less. These are really good results

back in here today after selling HBOS at a 15% loss!!!!! Think I should recover my money here though as good results due on Tuesday and maybe talk of take-over according to the Sunday herald yesterday......certainally a safer bet than the banks at the moment!!!!!!

silverfern: Thank you for your complementary comments . All I can say is 'if only'!

As to your question ..YES I am back in..on the basis of the following reasoning :-
1.despite recent market volatility the share price has been remarkably resilient.
2. WG. is in the right sector ..with oil the price firm.
3.a bid us a distinct posibility ..with global consolidation in the sector.
4. this is a well run company with much potential upside on the share price.

Hope this helps!

wendsworth - your posts in December were very prescient. I presume you bought back in? I'm in heavily from 375p in January; bought into the recovery.

Hmmm...

I think they're trying to shake out investors today - just before an upward movement, in anticipation of the Year-end results.

i see a break up from an inverse H&S.which should take us to new highs. however we are overbought and rsi is over 80 so its a time to be slightly cautious as a trader. further out - no probs.
