02/10/2020 10:08 | I think jet2 will keep flying there ( to turkey) they are still flying to Portugal. tiger | castleford tiger
02/10/2020 07:21 | Darrin1471 Bit of a shock as research shows that up to 80 percent of positive results are for people in the asymptomatic category. | our haven
01/10/2020 19:48 | Turkey has admitted it is publishing only a partial tally of confirmed coronavirus infections, stoking a political row that has been simmering for months over the true scale of the pandemic in the country. In remarks that could have repercussions for Turkey’s crucial tourism sector, Fahrettin Koca, the health minister, said the term “patients̶ World Health Organization guidance defines confirmed cases as “a person with laboratory confirmation of Covid-19 infection, irrespective of clinical signs and symptoms”. Turkey is one of the few European destinations British holidaymakers can travel to and from without any quarantine requirements. The country hosted 261,000 UK visitors in August. | darrin1471
01/10/2020 18:46 | I’m meant to be going to Turkey on Tuesday 😞 | scottish007
01/10/2020 18:31 | That's Turkey gone too. It's on the quarantine list, and therefore I assume that Jet2 policy will be not to fly there.I had friends going next week, and I have family there now! | festario
01/10/2020 14:05 | Who knows for sure of course but so far the 700 level holding like a champ | tongosti
01/10/2020 10:52 | Also it's not the upside that concerns me, it's the potential of a fall from height! It's all still a bit uncertain isn't it. No bright light at the end of the tunnel just yet | npp62
01/10/2020 10:50 | Thanks Tiger. Plenty of upside from current level. Sooner or later life will just have to go on. We can't carry on like this indefinitely surely. What a depressing thought! | npp62
01/10/2020 08:49 | npp read last years annual report it will tell you what Fowler made. Circa 5m small fry in the numbers. main consideration was the increase in shares of 20% following fundraising. Still think that was the bank being difficult. The old £20.00 high would be breached on a mark cap basis if we break 16.00 or thereabouts Tiger | castleford tiger
01/10/2020 08:33 | Many thanks. Not holding at the moment but looking for an entry point. Great company. Great people. They'll be back big style once all this virus shizzle is behind us! | npp62
01/10/2020 08:22 | dtg with a differentvname | ccraig69
01/10/2020 08:05 | Apologies if this has already been asked or if it's a stupid question.... Presuming JET2 is now entirely the airline side and not just DTG with a different name? If that's the case, regarding the share price, to what extent did the non airline side of DTG contribute to the price of the stock.. and going forward will that hold it back to any degree? Once we're out of the woods with the virus of course. | npp62
30/9/2020 11:53 | Turkey flights are pretty much full apparently. | scottish007
30/9/2020 11:51 | Not yet Senn. They just got an email saying bonus would be reinstated from November! 😳 | scottish007
30/9/2020 11:22 | Scottish is the axe starting to fall mate?? | senn1
29/9/2020 13:50 | Big drop today | senn1
29/9/2020 07:31 | ..... and despite being slower with refunds than even Ryanair, a lot of people still have high regard for Tui. | scottish007
29/9/2020 07:24 | I hear you CT. Debt of course is hugely significant. Like Jet2 however, l would say their potential earnings are not truly known as the uplift from the demise of the real Thomas Cook has not as yet been fully realised. So for me those looking to take on a travel company may well see value in Tui, after all it is still Europe’s biggest. | scottish007
28/9/2020 22:40 | Scottish How much debt have Tui got? What do you think they can make in a normal year? | castleford tiger
28/9/2020 21:46 | Gotta disagree re Tui. Yes it’s financially honking but it’s both saleable and saveable, especially given the loss of ‘the real‘ Thomas Cook. My two bob will remain with Jet2 but there will be big money waiting to pounce on Tui. | scottish007
28/9/2020 17:49 | Jobs going Scottish imho?? grapevine my friend in the know. | senn1
28/9/2020 08:51 | agree CT, TUI are all but finished..the balance sheet must be a car crash ..supported only by German intervention..why would anyone buy a share in them is beyond me ..shame as not a bad company .. | snorkelparker
28/9/2020 08:42 | senn 1 agree totally ..3 weeks from now will paint the picture ..tons of testing lots of so called infections and f.all deaths..then the likes of Chris Witty will have no clothes ..its going to be simple right or very wrong .. | snorkelparker
28/9/2020 08:34 | Given their values of thinking like a owner this is a good thing right? | our haven |
