Quote from results:

That means no final for 2020 and no interim for 2021. Stuff this crock, I'm out because I'm only here for the dividends. Decent capital profit but that's not why I bought in.

Yes Liberty's John Malone is a shrewd character that always wants a bargain, if indeed Liberty do make a bid, I would expect it to be a lowball one.

Even if its not Liberty, there are plenty of other suitors. In the Zoom meting this morning, Carolyn mentioned further tie ups with Amazon, Apple TV and Netflix. The list of potential bidders is growing and if its not Liberty then they still stand to make a handsome profit in their stake in ITV.

As of 12.30pm just over 5000 trades reported and volume reported so far 11.6m shares. Yeah right, pull the other !!! Is the market going to hide some of the volume today, looks that way. Lets see what this evening's late trades get reported.

Ivan, it makes me wonder if there is a potential ITV predator waiting? Now that the results are out, will they be happy to make their move? We can all speculate of cause, I would think that they're not going to get ITV any cheaper than now, I can only see the ITV share price recovering further this year. Any bid now would have to be in the region of 160p a 30% premium, if they wait until ITV share price reaches 160p we would be agreeing with The Naked Trader Robbie Burns 200p plus takeover price.

Personally thought the numbers were disappointing.
No Dividend either.

Be happy when someone takes this dog out myself.

As to BritBox, that will not be a saviour.

Sadly what they did was not illegal.
In hindsight we should have all avoided the share across the period but they could not have achieved it without the help of the pandemic.
At least we should have a clear path upwards now.

Exactly, the bank that literally destroyed over 90% of shareholder value from 2016 until August 2020 and upgraded the stock on a regular basis throughout and its analyst was still in bed !!!!!

GS did not appear on the call.
I was rather shocked with Carolyn's caution on Q2 Ad numbers.
The entire Ad market have them and they are all talking about it!
I assume Patrick also had those numbers (forecasts) - hence his question
Clearly everything could change if Boris goes into reverse but the conf. call makes me very suspicious.
She is not talking up her share price - in fact the exact opposite!
Putting the 'for sale' sign in the window?

Hades, just watched it myself. Where was the GS analyst or did I miss him/her ??? Citibank - Waste of time although Deutsche Bank asked some good, searching questions.
Let the market take stock in the next couple of days and then we should see further gains. All looking good.

Quite possibly
On the conference call even Patrick at Morgan Stanley called June at possibly +100% yr on yr with Euros and Love Island - ITV Ad revenue.
ITV seem to be low balling.
Carolyn was certainly unusually cautious on the call about the Ad market and sadly their Commercial Director (Kelly) was not on the call this time.
WPP might give better TV ad market guidance on Thursday on their call.

Initial sell-off on no dividend news but buyers coming in again. Guess it is going to be volatile for a bit. Hopefully the new bullish trend is our friend though.
