Thanks for the summary Benson. I reposted it over on LSE to keep folks over there informed. Postage assumes everyone is in the UK.... :-) I would be astonished if I received a letter (I'm in Switzerland), so good to hear from you what the "priveleged" shareholders are receiving. Well, "good" is perhaps not quite the right word, but you know what I mean!

Medved - good idea! On a serious note - that is a good idea!!

I suspect that the company is now looking into these boards to see what possible investor sentiment might be like - I know I would be doing that if I were them :-)

If that assumption is correct - I would just like to say to the IVE team;

"What do you get if you cross a famous Spanish singer with a good quality windows?!"

Ive got a great idea, let all of us IVE shareholders get behind one name and borrow enough money under that name from the new IVE to cover all our losses then divvy it out between us and tell IVE to get stuffed ??

This is not an investment for me or for anyone with any moral ethics. Every day in the Society of St Vincent De Paul I see the devastation wrought by job cuts and benefit cuts exacerbated by these types of loan companies that are opening up every day charging exorbitant interest rates.
I had thought of gifting the shares to charity via Sharegift but really can't do that now either.
If they do relist all I can do is sell and stand the loss

I had a call from the company yesterday, apologising for the delay in getting a letter to shareholders describing the detail of what IVE will be doing going forward.

The chap said they intend to move into the peer to peer lending space, so the new business will be more like what Zopa do than any of the payday loan companies (i.e. a loan market place that matches private lenders with borrowers).

Tough on the poor sods whose earnings are falling and then cannot make the payments, MedVed. It is not as though there is a decent safety net. But, ill winds ect

Hi Izzy good to see you back on here. It's beyond belief .......but if the banks are not prepared to loan then it may very well be worthwhile, we could be investors in a huge property portfolio within a couple of years, we must wind the interest rates as high as we can,screw the house owners, put them in homeless shelters and feel really smug about ourselves.

5bag - that indeed would be comical.

Still can't get my head round it. The shift from O & G exploration to Money Laundering...I mean, Lending...

I don't whether or not it's a good thing that the saga continues; there seems no way of finishing this company off. It's immortal...Irvine Energy definitely discoverd an un-ending supply of energy from somewhere, just not from shale...

Would be comical if Doug Manner was one of the first loan recipients....

This is crazy! I 'invested' my cash in an oil exploration company. I can't beleive they can move my 'investment' into a whole new sector without telling me. They may as well just relaunch as Irvine Wonga Cash for Gold Blame Claim INC!

PS They collected our email addresses from that form a few months ago. Would it really hurt them to send a mailshot out to all investors? Its nuts that we have to rely on a few posters on a bulletin board to keep us up to date on whats happening.
