I think by consolidating the shares it makes the company that bit more attractive to reverse into or whatever they have planned. Anyway it would take nothing short of a miracle to get back anything like we initially invested.
We all have been hurt some more than others but take it as an expensive lesson.

sparty1 - I'm with Swissquote in Switzerland because that's where I currently live. It's not really geared up for AIM shares - expensive to buy/sell and corporate actions are always slow to come through. Not that it makes much difference in this case, ha ha.

madchick - I am with santander and even though just nominee shares received a letter last week with my new holding. Be interesting to see what develops.

OH well, my consolidation has finally appeared. The IVE ticker has also disappeared and it now just says IRVINE ENERGY - not sure if that is significant? Not surprisingly, no ability to buy or sell, ha ha, ha.

I'd be grateful if people could continue posting any developments here. I never got a letter about this consolidation and nothing in my share account either until it had been done. Many thanks to all for sharing so far!

I have received my new IVE share certificate this morning, confirming my meagre holding post consolidation.

At the top of the share certificate it states "At the Annual General Meeting held on 21/09/2012, shareholders approved the consolidation". I had hoped it would be voted down. Oh well.

I doubt they will be tradeable for some time-there needs to be a prospectus, a fundraising and an AIM readmission. But, stranger things have happened, and you never know

I could be wrong but it is not a certainty that it will be allowed to trade again on Aim. They will have to present their case to Aim that they are viable and not just set up to con more people out of money.

Just got a letter from iii saying that my shares went 200-1 consolidation.
Checked my account and there is no value assigned to them only states my initial investment. Would prefer if this dog died ages ago tbh.

anotherardberg....just rung barx...very annoyed they say it was a "mandatory corporate action" so I would not have been informed....

Any value attached to your shares ? ie new sp?

sparty i have that trouble with barcs, they never inform you of any actions, i always have to contact them after finding out on advfn bulletin board about motions going through on most companies

Definitly something going on. As recently as last week you could click the News tab above and get the old IVE news. Now you get the Big Movers page.
