Thanks for the posts RS though as I've repeatedly said, I find it very difficult to discern your motivation.

I commend Mr Jennings for standing up but as I told him last night elsewhere (publicly) he needs to take a long hard look at himself. His response he is proud of the stance Align have taken so I replied being trounced at the first hurdle is not good.

(Paraphrased, not word for word)

I should be delighted if somebody with more ability and clout than me was able to take it on properly but am not holding my breath.

Chaps I have done what I said I would, you can take or leave as much as you like.

I wish you all the luck in the world (you are going to need it with this stinker) with whatever investing decisions you make.

You have a really good BB here, but my trip down memory lane to my shareholder activism days is over and I am so glad it finished with such a great reminder of the total futility of it.

See you all in the new year for the guess the date of the 2023 placing competition, or if anything genuinely new and interesting happens. I won't be selling my 27k and I won't be buying any more ever - I have made that investing decision final now.

Of course! That's why it's so quiet.

Another hurdle passed cleared, so basically we just have to ensure that the smelter purchase is completed in the next week and then it should be all systems go !!

Oh I wouldn't worry, I'm sure that Recovery has some negative spin on it that he'll arrive with shortly.

It was a 4pm kick off so maybe he'll report back if he was indeed there....

The Tracarta buy blows a hole in my theory that JW was only buying because he was on GC's payroll.

For those that have been around for a while, you'll probably remember that I used to concentrate almost entirely on how much the assets were worth. That doesn't work and got me in trouble with Amerisur because without an intricate knowledge of the asset or a uniquely honest management, your only making an educated guess.

The other mistake I made was even when I got the narative right and smelled a rat, I didn't take action. I relied on my numbers above all else.

The problem with small AIM stocks isn't that they are uninvestible, it's that they are so volatile, making it difficult to find a point in time where everything lines up.

Interesting Wardle/Tracarta up their stake - another indication Align had no plan at the start of their recent brief and failed war

A very fair assessment Al.

I wouldn't play guessing games on the share price of any company. I make an assesment of the underlying value of a company via discounted cashflow, Net Present Value, the old dividend model or whatever other methodology I care to use. Then I use that along with market sentiment and narative to make a decision on whether to buy or not. I have no control of the share price, it will do what it will do, but a series of bets along the lines of what I've said should offer a positive expected return.

For Ironveld, I think the assets have greater value than the market cap reflects, the narrative is imporoving (far from ideal, but not as terrible as it was) and I don't think anyone would argue that market sentiment is anything but awful.

The trust issues with management just mean that I push up the bar for the narative element of my assesment.

I don't do anything clever with Ironveld, the market cap is so low that it makes the narative and market sentiment the prime deciding factors.

Things are moving in the right direction, but some way to go.

"...even after a fall of 400-500 percent"

I'm simply going to ask how you calculated that percentage fall?

...and while your working it out, here's some music:

IMO all the negativity has been proven to be right, the only way is down, still plenty of risk here even after a fall of 400-500 percent

RS,

I don't make predictions like that, maybe twenty years ago when I was naive and stupid... now I don't consider myself naive and I think I'm a little less stupid.

You carry on though.

Ok patt you will need to be a bit more accurate with the date than just Jan 2023 to enter the competition - why not wait and see what the annual report says or does not say?

0.3p wow that is highly optimistic IMHO. LADESIDE can run the guess the price of the placing contest, as he is so much better at guessing future share prices than me. I want to see how much of the last placing has been dumped (CF and other TR1s will help) and how many Broker Warrants have been exercised before I have a go at both competitions - the Broker Warrants are effectively a "pipe" IMHO.

RS,

You might want to do DYOR on the RNS from today.

There is a clue in the third paragraph that starts...

"Final contracts for completion of the acquisition are progressing well."

You might want to delete todays posts and post them once the acquisition actually completes.

Maybe that's why you were confused when I said the RNS was a non-event?
