No reported changes on the short tracker again today. Funny as nothing reported for the last few days but price obviously heading north so maybe just late reporting! Wouldn't be the first time!

thereptile - I believe the rocket will fire on all cylinders again but we may need to wait another year for that. If we’re nicely over £1 by then, that will do me as we could go up into the £2’s quickly. This short term pain will end up being long term gain.

Keep the faith all.

We are seeing some very big trades again this week and continued pressure upwards on the share price Timing is everything and I think everyone who bought in that short lived 50/60s range has much to look forward to over the coming years. We will still require some patience but the tide is changing direction at least :)

"reportedly" - twice in two weeks - I think I'll wait for an rns to believe it. But hey the damage is done if it's true or not. Such a one sided game.

Good news guys google wins face id patent today. Google pixel 4 will have face id in my opinion.

Apple also wants to get iphone X back in production.

On a separate note,Police think Facial Id can be helpful, a 10 month study conducted with Cardiff University.

Boboty (re post 23285) "Apple has reportedly enforced a second wave of order reduction in the wake of weaker-than-expected sales for its new iPhones" (3rd from last paragraph).

Same old same old reports just with a different date by a different reporter, sure it won’t be the last but it’s now out of date as “news” ;)

I guess that if we only supplied Apple and given our technical lead, we would have been taken over by one of the companies in the supply chain by now.

It help to read the last rns dated 13/11/2018:

"Nonetheless, Photonics revenues, on a constant currency basis, from FY
2016 through to FY 2018 is still expected to deliver revenue growth of
at least 45%, which is within the guidance range we retain for FY 2019.
We believe that we have retained approximately 90% share of the VCSEL
epi-wafer market that we enjoyed last year and based on early initial
indications, we expect a similar market share in FY 2019, but with a
significantly broader OEM end customer spread as the technology
penetrates many more devices and applications. "

I don't know how to highlight text so extracted from above:
"with a significantly broader OEM end customer spread as the technology
penetrates many more devices and applications. "

Hope this helps those who think Apple will be the main driver of share price in the long term.

Apple may be the world's largest consumer of VCSELs at the moment but this is likely to change rather soon imo.

'Old' being yesterday? It was a link from a Gordon Kelly Forbes article, though I must say he seems to have a downer on Apple. It sounds as though the Chinese component suppliers have taken a deeper battering. LITE has recovered from its low point somewhat less than IQE (+ 12% v. + 20%). I'm just concerned that APPL's pricing power will waterfall down through the supply chain. If you have any knowledge on this please share. Just concerned that the time taken to ramp up production for Android vcsel contracts may mean a weak FY19, but again if you have views do please share.
