Having reached the £1bn capitalisation mark, those institutions who don't deal with companies below this level, will want to start acquiring these shares. A tree shake will help liquidity and assist them in getting a toehold. The same applies with American shareholders - they are beginning to be aware of IQE and it's potential.

The market needs your shares!!

Dr Sweeney please please don't tell us when you sell, would not be good for the nhs with the resulting spike in ticker attacks!

the last thing I want is a bid that doesn't value the yrs of growth I expect.
Some here don't understand this as they are short term traders normally dealing small sums I suspect.

I was under the impression that NIL was a technology 12-18 months away from commercialisation and ramp up, I hadn't even seen it confirmed it was working yet?

The goal was to create fibre optic lasers, with NIL offering a 20-30% cheaper mass market product than the competition. Allegedly this is a 100m unit pa market and growing quickly (the rise of 100mb+ broadband means fibre installation and datacentre traffic is going nuts). BT just started rolling out 330mb home broadband trial - 10m properties targeted to connect within 3 years!

Well it looks to me as if some stake building is going on and they just wait for profit takers and shorts to drive the share price down before buying again.

I notice IQE was in the top 5 list of shares looked at by Hargreaves Lansdown customers yesterday, which isn't always a positive sign. I think we all agree that no share price rises by 5p every day. The interesting thing from a trading perspective is whether a fall in the share price will trigger buys or sells. If you look at charts for FEVR, or BUR, or IQE for the last year, you can clearly see the correct action was to buy every dip. I see no reason that will change while future growth looks so strong, but it takes two views to make a market.

The Daily Mirror are guessing at a September 5th iPhone 8 launch event. Is their not something else happening that day....! Thanks again Dave for the great research. hTtps://www.google.co.uk/amp/www.mirror.co.uk/tech/when-next-apple-event-latest-10971244.amp

referencepoint - why do you say that?

I'm assuming by Apple you mean all smartphone uses of VCSELs? I agree that some of the other markets like GaN transistors will be massive, but they don't have the high margin of the VCSELs. I think 3D sensing is going to be that highest earner for quite a few years.

My view is the top is just in this morning.

Watch for flash crashes say 10p very quickly as they pull the rug.

Overbought is overbought. It is what it is.

That's it. Thanks skinny. Eliminates the curve that some folk find scary if viewed in linear format, and shows a nice strong but steady percentage growth.
