21/3/2017 08:48 | As a very basic guide removing fx from the equation. Wafer sales increased 19% across the group. | poombear
21/3/2017 08:47 | Looks fully valued to me. And yet again no talk of dividend. What's the point of an investment that despite ostensibly strong results, always fails to deliver a return to its shareholders. | boffster
21/3/2017 08:45 | because its the old saying buy on rumour sell on news! everyone buys in to make a profit before the annoucements are made, then everyone sells on the news day | lewoufc
21/3/2017 08:45 | well done mart... I just got out of bed. Good day blue sky here in London. Love chips! | netcurtains
21/3/2017 08:44 | Bought more in the dip at 48p. Long termer for me. | martinthebrave
21/3/2017 08:44 | trump short this big time rather than wasting your time posting. | jugu
21/3/2017 08:44 | Netcurtins. Looks like mms playing games. briefly crash the prices. See how many stops they can trigger. Then allow price to rise again. I have been caught before. But saw this one happening. | shanieboy01
21/3/2017 08:44 | Was happy when holding and buying over the last 5 years, nothing here to change my view, onwards and upwards with lots in the pipeline :) | darkdogs
21/3/2017 08:44 | do you think it will finish blue today? Looks good to me | netcurtains
21/3/2017 08:43 | Obviously nothing | toptrump1
21/3/2017 08:42 | does anyone know why it went down instead of going up? I never understand these things. Seems a great set of results to me, but what do i know | netcurtains
21/3/2017 08:40 | Never trust these brokers, basic diluted (which is bottom line) Eps are down Cash is being spent and debt still rising so at what point does a business get a return on investment? It's all there in the accounts, cash, intangibles, debt. | toptrump1
21/3/2017 08:34 | Typical price reaction from a share which has attracted a LOT of speculative and PI interest. I would expect the price to bounce nicely, whether today or simply over time. N+1 Singer are very happy with the results - they say Buy (and that was at 54p) and expect to increase their forecasts by 5%-10%, with further upgrades in the future. IQE is a "key pick" for the year: "IQE’s FY’16 results are c.4% ahead of our expectations, which were upgraded in December. Group revenue grew 16% to £132.7m (N+1Se: 130.8m), with adj. PBT rising 17% to £20.6m (N+1Se: £20.4m) and adj. EPS up 15% to 3.0p (N+1Se:2.9p). The key Wireless and Photonics markets grew strongly (up 15% and 43% respectively), while licence income outperformed expectations at £6.7m (N+1Se: £5.0m). We expect the positive momentum to continue, prompting c.5-10% EPS upgrades, although we see scope for more material upgrades over the course of our forecast horizon. IQE is one of our key picks for the year. The shares have risen 45% YTD but with today’s results triggering upgrades and further positive newsflow expected, we believe there is more to go for. Buy." | rivaldo
21/3/2017 08:34 | Is that tongue in cheek yump? I said 20s Nobody ever thinks it will move so much but nearly always does. | toptrump1
21/3/2017 08:31 | What a load of chickens running around! This is a very profitable small company and I'm amazed that we haven't seen some profit taking after the results. I admit to selling a chunk, which perhaps having been around a long time, I should have done yesterday and bought back in at 47.70 this a.m. It certainly hasn't dropped through the floor and why should it. As to to toptrump's comment above, a predator would buy this out long before it got close to 20p. Just my view, but let's keep some perspective here. | 2vdm
21/3/2017 08:31 | stay long. | blueball
21/3/2017 08:29 | Ha my stop was at 46p. Cancelled it by approx 2mins. Dont worry i will be resetting everything tomorrow. Phew | shanieboy01
21/3/2017 08:28 | Whoever buys now is a braver person that i! | lucas5950
21/3/2017 08:28 | toptrump1 I don't think you should be trying to scare pi's who really have no idea about investing. That's a bit mean. | yump
21/3/2017 08:28 | A lot of good news factored in and a lot of hot money..mid 30s, would be of interest | tsmith2
21/3/2017 08:27 | What a surprise. Buyers piling in at 47. Presumably hoovering up the stop losses that all seemed to be pegged at 48. Classic. | lurki0
21/3/2017 08:26 | Its not going to the 20's, unless the rampant big players get stuck in as they did last year. Its now growing and forecast to grow modestly - there's no problem with the business, but it does put understanding the business itself as a critical issue. Not the technology and all the myriad possibilities. The business. | yump
21/3/2017 08:25 | They have no cash, There will be a placing next | toptrump1
21/3/2017 08:22 | Lol, what is predictable are people's reactions on message boards, hilarious this morning. Always take with a pinch of salt such reactions, everyone (whether for or against) has an agenda... Would love to see 40p :) | richardc77
21/3/2017 08:21 | This is pure profit taking after a fantastic run up. To be expected so close to the end on the tax year. All very dramatic and overdone as usual. Patience and keep calm :-) | american idiot |
