sailastra, there are 'other fish in the sea', but not plenty of them and they're not easy to find - that is if the criterion is companies that have the opportunities and are likely do as well over the next few years as IQE are expected to do.

Do you have any suggestions?

Lots of volume and lots of PI's taking profits.....How do you come to that conclusion....675,000,000+ shares in issue 6,000,000 traded today, do you believe all those marked down as sells were sells or were quite a lot of them actually buys?....Most peoples target price? how many opinions have you sort...Or are you basing it on this BB?
What matters is where this company could be in a few years to come.....Should you sell on Monday? Nobody on this BB can advise you with any certainty on that..
The only certainty is that if you have a profit then you have a profit that you can realise, nothing wrong with taking a profit and there are plenty of other fish in the sea.......

Chaps, strange day today. Lots of volume and lots of PI's taking their profits, but someone must be buying them. I was surprised the price managed to hold at 54p, which seems to be most peoples target price given the number of small sells that kept coming through at that price level. I also took the opportunity to continue to close my positions given the strength in the share price but still hold a decent position. I'm undecided whether to close my entire position on Monday or wait for the numbers on Tuesday. If I did sell and the share price rises on the results, i would be gutted but would probably feel worse if I hold and the share price tanks. i'm not expecting it to tank, but i do feel a large number of people will be selling on the day. Let's see what Monday brings.

Missed my point Yump' last yr it was all crash talk, now it's silent on the matter - more likely!?

Weird trading activity the last few days in Iqe, if someone were mopping up all these programmed sales then where's the corresponding buys? And how come the mms not moving the price. I never get how they determine raising/lowering the share price beforsome smart Alec says its determined by supply/demand. - eh hum no it's not exactly it seems demand from mms!
I reckon being a mm must be a bloody awful job.

Market Crashes are supposedly every 7yrs so on that basis we are overdue another

kondeatieff cycles were disproved about 50 years ago ....
thank goodness, otherwise we'll be having WW3 about now!

Big7ime, Not entirely sure I understand what you're saying re IQE/CMS but I'll try posting some charts.

Yump, There is a strong indication from Kondratieff that there will indeed be a 10 year bull market (imo).

Looks like it someuwin. I've finally joined the ranks of the sellers though, selling 12206 at 53.5p. They were a buy from 14th November 2013 at 24.35p, so a gain of 117%.

I'm still holding 15986 bought on 4th July 2014 at 22.444p.

Sensible thing to do Yump if you're on a good 100%+ profit, I think you bought around same price as me 24.7
I got a load more at 19 which I have since sold, it was mighty hairy having a large holding when it was crashing down to 12p. I sold half my orig at 52.25 so I can relax now.
I expect we'll get a sell on result whatever and esp if eps are less than 3.7, I'd like to see it at 4 but know that's stretching the optimism

HB, have you given up with charting using ADVFN?
Your thread has over the years been of great interest to many, myself included.

Is it the Java issue as it doesnt seem to be supported for me with firefox?
