lets face it we only invest in stocks that we think have a fighting chance of doubling over 12 months otherwise why bother for the odd 1p or so... So saying £10 by Christmas, is not very likely but in the scheme of things that is the type of investment we are all looking for.... Who wants just 10% a year when you can get 100% or 1000%?? (and lets face it you can from time to time)..

Now day trading is a different matter - all you want is the odd 1p or so..

My feeling is, given a good wind, IQE could double over 12 months. If it does not, its still a good company and will probably rise a few percent - so its a win win situation - touchwood, rabbits foot and spit three times..

Dear me, but there is a load of rubbish spouted on here with people over-analysing every single tick up and tick down. I am absolutely delighted that we've had a modest tick-down. My son got in at 37.65p this morning. Onwards and upwards. £10 by Christmas.

Always a good share with little bb activity ! One of mine on LSE has even got the wrong company title ! That keeps it quieter ! Lol

Meanwhile, the share price consolidates nicely before the next leg upwards.

Yump go and find out yourself what you've invested in. Relying on bb to get investment decisions is a good way to loose money.

What kills threads is the asking of pretty straightforward questions and the lack of a straightforward answer by people who supposedly know all about the share. Which would help a lot more folk than just me.

Been like that for years on here, apart from a few shares that have posters who can cope with the pain of analysis rather than prose.

Anyone who thinks this wont drop and behave crazy obviously has not been with this share very long. I believe it will drop to about 30p too but i also know it will recover

Well it would be nice to have that influence, but that is probably THE most unlikely reason for the lack of posts.

I'm also bored: with the lack of simple critique. Done my own anyway now. Not that I was going to just believe that every market IQE is involved in will result in growth for them.

Current price seems about right to me, barring a really good announcement, or the lemmings acting on stop-losses, despite all being long-term investors genuinely interested in IQE's future.

No share goes up continually, it's a breather, just remember back to when we were below 20p and be thankful ;)

I haven't sold - but then again I doubt all the posters on here were buying when they were posting all the jam tomorrow stuff.

Witness the complete fall-off in the number of posts detailing the ins, outs and positives of everything IQE might be involved in.

If its been tipped and everyone knows about it and it doesn't keep going up after another week or so... that will be the giveaway.

But its at a fair price imo.

I think you are wrong Yump and I also think you have had your fun here and are now willing it down to justify your sale. Volumes were high on the rise, now much lower suggests a normal consolidation before the next step up. There's much higher interest from PIs as the share has been tipped accross almost all the tip sheets for this yr which should support the rise. Look also at the shorting activity of late 2013 to see why it was forced lower at that time and the reduction in those shorts in con with the steep rise thereafter in late 2014. Ennismore started to reduce but the remaining position IMO needs to be cleared also before the growth shows in the results which also supports the share price
With all that aside, look at the fundamentals - low p/e, potential rocketing profits etc and you see why I remain bullish!

There have been very large quantities of shares changing hands so it could be funds at work. On the other hand IQE was imo clearly being messed with at the lower prices and I can't believe yet, that the shareholder base has changed its spots. When I say base, that's in the very loose term of base, as in not LTBH investors.

I hope to be proved wrong, although clearly having posted what I've posted, I am a rampant shorter who should be strung up.

I've just made my sixth purchase in IQE. Sadly, none were at the lower prices. I always felt they were going places, but the share price never responded, so lost my nerve when it went really low.

I just don't look at this with my head in the sand, that's all. Actually holding a load from when everyone was doubting and moaning about the BOD being too tech. biased.

Then suddenly all the tech. is fine and dandy.

Been around too long not to know what's going on.

It just needs a couple of sets of solid growth figures and the messing about will stop.

it might well extend past gap-fill to 30p
however below that, and its a lower low and chart will look bearish.
If current news-flow is maintained then should be ok
only thing is - if something misses then that gap at 17.75p starts to look threatening.
This has been a good looking chart but I worry now its been ramped a bit too much.

fwiw 30p is a more likely good buy price.

Just watch the number of detailed posts about IQE drop, now that the serious money has kept it going long enough to unload.

Very cheap at 30p though, p/e of 10 on next year. Its been very cheap before which was very puzzling to a lot of folk.

I think it will take a while for IQE to hold a higher p/e, purely because there is serious trading money behind it.

Depends entirely on some serious growth appearing or forecast imo.
