10/1/2017 11:39 | Just for clarity - some seem confused IQE is on AIM , I have asked at the last 2 AGM's about entering the small cap FTSE index, on both occasions management said they had no plans to make the move, they did not believe there woukd be any advantage and there would be extra costs - it is surprising how much it would cost Fullbright said and I quote "FTSE 250 material this, soon :)" Well the automatic entry position to that index is currently around £758million! The ENTRY LEVEL for the small cap index Is £176 million The difference between our current share price and the share price required for FTSE 250 index IS therefore a million miles apart or about 67p I won't comment on this again Has everyone invested in IQE voted for IQE In the European business awards! If you feel so inclined just click the link, I am not a great fan of these public votes but this award could bring a lot of recognition to the company , investor interest and of course kudos S | sweenoid
10/1/2017 10:03 | CMCX is the smallest FTSE 250 by MC - mkt cap 355m, IQE (AIM) - mkt cap 272m. Not a million miles apart - just an observation :) | fullbright
10/1/2017 09:48 | Sweenoid you do recall management aspirations to become a ftse company. That time frame is about now, as it was mooted around 3 years ago. Wouldn't be surprised if a US listing occurred earlier than a ftse one. | jugu
10/1/2017 09:48 | Not so daft as it's on road map. Also could do with more institutional investment to reflect standing and progression. | jugu
10/1/2017 09:42 | Share prices go from ridiculously undervalued (where we are still IMO) to ridiculously overvalued. (Next, ASC in one sector for example) ARMs p/e I think was 70 | big7ime
10/1/2017 09:38 | Yes, hurry up the share price and happy we will be. Its at a reasonable level now based on the (invisible) forecasts. What's needed is an unreasonable level so the sell becomes a lot clearer. Unless of course the shorters arrive and take it back down again, seeing as the p/e has doubled in 3+ months. Which of course was rational, as it was undervalued. But the undervaluation was in that case irrational, so why would the share price now behave rationally. Decisions, decisions... | yump
10/1/2017 09:38 | Agreed that would be a realistic price at present After a yr or two though, with the growth I'm anticipating that could look very conservative indeed. | big7ime
10/1/2017 09:27 | On the contrary sweenoid, I am in a great hurry to get to 65p. My new Evoke beckons. | lord gnome
10/1/2017 09:24 | Don't be daft fullbright ...or the person that recommended his post Our market cap as of close last night is £245 million, to get last spot in the FTSE250 that is 350 th position in the rankings we would need a market cap of £652 million In other words even if we were on the FTSE ,we are on AIM! We woukd have to have a share price of 107.75p to reach those lofty heights I am bullish +++ here but let's not get carried away folks Very nice to see some profit taking at this level , I would like us to consolidate at this level for a while till we get positive news , no rush for me to reach my realistic target of 65p S | sweenoid
10/1/2017 09:11 | FTSE 250 material this, soon :) | fullbright
10/1/2017 08:57 | Is there any chance of getting some forecasts in the header ? Only I thought that the business performance drives the share price not the charts... | yump
10/1/2017 08:53 | Selling at 42 could just be people who know the hitch-hikers guide to the galaxy. | yump
09/1/2017 19:01 | Strange trading day. Price breaks thru 42p and then retreats back. Assume it's PI's taking their profits. | lpavlou
09/1/2017 13:23 | Another 48419 added , lets hope this Keeps popty pinging !! | grity
09/1/2017 13:04 | We used to have a "wireless" which has entirley different meaning now. Ip addresses are pinged. Appliances now communicate with web. ....so popty ping could soon mean an oven that communicates on the web, the internet of things! | dr_smith
09/1/2017 12:58 | it is true ! | panic investor
09/1/2017 12:55 | I am informed that it literally means 'oven that goes ping' which makes it even better IMO :-) | dangersimpson2
09/1/2017 12:45 | Did you know the Welsh for microwave is 'popty ping'( its true damn you!), and soon magnetron technology found in popty pings all over the world will be replaced with rf technology which IQE is collaborating on with Macom's GaN on SiLove that word......popty ping, popty ping, popty ping! | tomyumgoong
09/1/2017 12:38 | a wnaed yng nghymru! (apparently that means Made in Wales) | netcurtains
09/1/2017 12:35 | Let's all get voting for IQE :-) With 30 years experience of investing there is one great intangible that comes along and can't be bought. Positive sentiment is what I am talking about, it produces momentum and positivity. The fundamentals for this stock AND its management are unchanged from months ago, but a change in perception backed up by a realisation of how well IQE are placed in huge growth markets has started to gain acceptance. Don't for a moment think that this present share price reflects positively on its promise ;-) There are a number of factors that will retain this positive sentiment and at present, barring a debacle in the world technology market and global macroeconomic issues, I can't see many factors that could negatively affect us S | sweenoid |
