30/7/2014 22:21 | mister big, ROFL! I didn't know that Shakespeare quote, is it really by him? | cyberbub
30/7/2014 22:20 | Ps I would have thought that tinder would keep you busy ! It's more fun particularly lonely fraudster. I'm amazed at how a single idea will potentially destroy a massively profitably industry ( dating websites ) almost overnight . | mister big
30/7/2014 22:20 | Thing is, you must do what you think can satisfy you. You are not there yet, and mucking about with these hopefuls is hardly your scene. Remind me, why did you decide to enter into all this posting? | arlington chetwynd talbot
30/7/2014 22:15 | Is that some northern poet ? | mister big
30/7/2014 22:14 | You are very fast on the trigger but a tad slow on the reason. I like that ;) | arlington chetwynd talbot
30/7/2014 22:10 | The company was loss making and the last few months have been profitable , hence it's prospects are improving ! Radical ! As the bard might say I would challenge you to a battle of intellect but I see you are unarmed ! | mister big
30/7/2014 22:08 | See? There is method to my madness rant? Someone has taken the time and effort to answer my question. Sadly he is wrong, but let's not dwell upon that fact and congratulate him for at least attempting to get into the message board spirit! | arlington chetwynd talbot
30/7/2014 21:59 | Correct Mr Big! They are "Profitable for the period" That period being May & June! I agree also that the company is now cash generative which will soon increase significantly in the coming months! The exact words said in the June production report (30.6 mt) were "The Company produced a record 92.9 mt for the second quarter compared to 47mt for the first quarter - an increase of 98 per cent. The Company was also profitable for the Period in terms of both EBITDA and net profit" NB! net profit is calculated by subtracting a company's total expenses from total revenue. On just 30.6 mt for June, it's impressive they are net profitable for the period which demonstrates, with low iodine prices, how much Lance must have cut back on their Opex costs. The same was true for the May with 40.1mt reported leaving the Company profitable for the Period in terms of both EBITDA and net profit. For April it was just plants 1 to 3 that were profitable with no mention of the company being overall EBITDA & net profits. For Jan, Feb & March there was no mention of being in net profit. So assume they were loss making. Summary so far for 2014: Jan loss making Feb loss making March loss making April plant 1 to 3 profitable, plant 4 loss making. (NB!! Lance has arrived slashing costs!!! and quickly Optimising IOF#1&2) May profitable (EDITA & net profit) despite brine supply interruptions (fracking) June profitable (EBITA & net profit) despite brine supply interruptions (fracking & electrical storms) With plants 5 & 6 going online now and soon to be boosted with increased brines supplies post fracking + further Opex cuts to come we should see Iofina becoming even more profitability throughout the H2 period. So overall: Q1 was loss making Q2 was turning net profitable Q3 should be net profitable (Aug/Sept Plant 5 + 6) Q4 should be even more net profitable (Oct/Nov/Dec Plants 5 + 6 + Increased brine supplies to IOF#3-6) If all goes well then in Q3 & 4 there is IMHO a very good chance that Iofina will make an overall net profit in 2014. This IMHO should then place Iofina on a firm and confident footing to then sign upto some long term supply agreements that should come with some upfront cash investments to expand further with their new high ppm targeting pods. In turn this will then leave them well placed to not only meet their long term supply commitments but the expected adhoc demand that should come as Chile is Opexed into a long term under supply situation. 30/7/2014 21:58 | The fool doth think he is wise, but the wise man knows himself to be a fool. | mister big
30/7/2014 21:46 | Et tu arlington ! There is a tide in the affairs of men. Which, taken at the flood, leads on to fortune; Omitted, all the voyage of their life Is bound in shallows and in miseries. On such a full sea are we now afloat, And we must take the current when it serves, Or lose our ventures. | mister big
30/7/2014 21:45 | Ho ho mister big, I see you're engaging in a bit of Netter-baiting. Jolly sport, what. Better than what Netters spending most of his time doing, which also ends in 'baiting' but spelled differently. | cyberbub
30/7/2014 21:03 | Yes che7win, but to achieve the legendary status of EPS you have to make clean profit mate, or we get the usual minus ;( | arlington chetwynd talbot
30/7/2014 21:01 | US economy looking increasingly strong, pound falling against dollar, I reckon it has peaked which is good for our EPS. | che7win
30/7/2014 20:55 | Yeah but we all know what happened to Chris, quite unfairly IMHO. You can redress that little US v UK tiff I'm sure. The company was always fully funded to hear you, until it asked... you. You have the cash to really take this forward, question is, have you the balls? | arlington chetwynd talbot
30/7/2014 20:44 | superg1, I'm sorry to see that you felt the need to ban me from your IOF thread. Surely you didn't feel threatened? Thank you for drawing my attention to the long/short info on IG. My only contact with IG is via the L2 platform and I hadn't come across this. I note that, whilst the stats give an indication of the percentage of clients long and short, there is no data on the percent by value. That's possibly info they would not wish to reveal. I suspect that the "smart money" may often be on the side of the minority of clients, especially when it comes to ramped AIM stocks. Also, do these stats cover all clients (including DMA), or just markets made by IG? Why do you think IG would take shorts on IOF last week, but not now? I suppose you'll say they're protecting their clients' interests! | typo56
30/7/2014 20:42 | Ps the company needs no new capital it's cash generative now . | mister big

No doubt one of the operators locally will make their interest known when ready ! I believe the water rights will come through and be of massive benefit to the company | mister big
30/7/2014 20:37 | Erm, you can add capital and have a good feel about the oil angle? I think you'd be good for this firm. Advice is gratis ;) | arlington chetwynd talbot
30/7/2014 20:34 | Is the latest obsession - ! I haven't been asked and would probably say no , on the basis that I'm Not sure what I have to add . The guys in charge are iodine experts and very cost conscious which I like . | mister big
30/7/2014 20:32 | Exactly ;) | arlington chetwynd talbot
