The rant is about individual plants being labelled as profitable during the month when it is not a fact. Do keep up dear boy and don't confuse the issue with group operational profitability on a monthly basis. Do you think we are fools?

I think the company stated they were profitable last month , so I'm
Not sure what the rant is about. I'm pretty convinced that the company will look to expand from a sensible cost base , the chemical division is profitable and growing.
Shorting this stock now is like trying to pick up nickels in front of a bulldozer as mr Buffett would say !

Netley if you want a proper short - french bonds ( naked ) and if you want to hedge buy German bunds - easily done on ig index and one that will fill the coffers !

Happy holidays !

I find it really really hard to believe that people who are presumably fully grown mature adults are STILL spending their time engaging with an attention-deficit obsessive narcissist... don't feed the trolls...

As the details suggest far from your guess, the most logical answer to your query is that large holders won't loan stock out.

It's a pretty common event not being able to take out a short position, hence some small flyers hold their lofty prices.

You din't like Chris's roll-out yet you scream for more? What a bunch of fickle lying rampers you all are. No wonder people are shorting this, probably to zero ;(

Typo

So you are on IG looking to go short and you haven't a clue what percentage are long and what percentage are short, even though the details are on the site for all to see. But your guess is that the balance has swung to the short side re them. lol.

The figure is there in plain sight, always has been and as far as I know always will be.

Is it Tesco you are in. IG have 9% of clients in Tesco short. In fact in that case compared to IOF details, if you have that logic , then Tesco are shafted.

Just sharing the knowledge.

'every little helps'

Try another site if IG won't entertain your bet, there are plenty around.

I think it may mean the balance of positions IG have accepted is swinging to the short side. Doesn't mean to say the punters are always right!

With a potentially good RNS looming I would have thought taking out a short position now would be highly risky

Yes, IG have a habit of stocks becoming unborrowable, just at the times you might want to short!
