08/8/2014 13:37 | Hmmm. I see that everyone has joined me in being irritated by Measuring Gay's use of formats and fonts.I was told to shut up by several on here when I last raised it.By the way, Thanks to Mr B for answering re STM.I won't be investing, as my own 'illiquid' favourite GVC, has the lions share of my funds and due to 10% yield each year. Can't touch that!Back to IOF now, and does anyone have the nasty feeling that IO5 is still not hooked up?I consider that news to be price sensitive, and we should have been told either way. | ![]() festario

08/8/2014 13:12 | mister big- 23418: Curiously on brightside - i started it with a desk two telephones and 50,000 of capital - 10 years of continuous growth to be a top 20 uk broker - it was sold for 127m last week ( my wife got the last cheque for 4m!). So on the value creation stakes it did pretty well ! LOL - plenty of obfuscation too in the above post. At the IPO and subsequent fund raisings, a total of circa £112m was raised in various placings so on the "value creation stakes" the sale of the business for £127m, a surplus of £15m after 7 years as a public company, is hardly a big deal! | ![]() masurenguy
08/8/2014 13:04 | Masurenguy you are wrong, give it a rest. Also please stop formatting your posts, you're ruining the thread! | ![]() monts12
08/8/2014 12:45 | More to the point - if you check the document no money was raised at 69p so there were no mythical investors hurt by the original company either which I also owned !! | mister big
08/8/2014 12:42 | Masurenguy, you started today with a 'please keep on topic' post. Since that, you have cluttered the thread with absolute rubbish, let alone ruining the formatting for all mobile users. | ![]() diggulden

08/8/2014 12:36 | One thought on french bonds - the world situation re Iraq . Israel , Russia is pushing bond yields lower ( safe haven ) french bonds ludicrously get more expensive ! But it's a wonderful time to be contrarian and short them . Big correction on way in due course - what's safer us treasury bonds on french bonds ! | mister big

08/8/2014 12:12 | Brightside was a shell , and started life as a debt collection business . We reserved into the shell with institutional shareholders subscribing at 18p- they exited at 27 p - this making a profit . You seem sketchy on facts ( and I agree the font thing is irritating ! ) | mister big
08/8/2014 12:08 | Mister Big - 23418: Curiously on brightside - i started it with a desk two telephones and 50,000 of capital - 10 years of continuous growth to be a top 20 uk broker - it was sold for 127m last week LOL - it proved to be a great deal for the external shareholders with Brightside having joined the market @69p in the IPO in 2007 and being subsequently sold for 64% less @25p earlier this year. | ![]() masurenguy
08/8/2014 11:50 | To clarify - french bond position is not short term - any strength is an excuse to sell more ! | mister big
08/8/2014 11:49 | I'm doubling up on the bet but buying German bonds as a hedge . Curiously on brightside - i started it with a desk two telephones and 50,000 of capital - 10 years of continuous growth to be a top 20 uk broker - it was sold for 127m last week ( my wife got the last cheque for 4m!) So on the value creation stakes it did pretty well ! | mister big
08/8/2014 11:41 | mister big French Gov bonds haven't stopped rising since your comment last week to short! I suppose the geopolitical situation (Ukraine, Iraq, etc) doesn't help with markets tumbling. An even bigger short on those bonds?? | ![]() monts12
