06/7/2014 17:26 | Mad, Your $38.38/kg for July refers to just one delivery of 1 mT on the 3rd of July so not very representative. Smaller deliveries usually command a higher price/kg anyway. We have no way of knowing if the original orders were negotiated on contract or spot price. They will lag current price somewhat of course, if only because the sea journey from Chile to India takes 30 days. | ![]() gadolinium
06/7/2014 17:05 | Oversupply and you're adding to it AND discounting? LOL What a model ;) | n3tleylucas
06/7/2014 16:27 | July looks like 38.58 on the graph on that site. Also surely these are contract prices so will lag the spot price on the way up....? | ![]() 1madmarky

06/7/2014 12:06 | Not good news for our profitability gado, let's hope it rises later in the year. 15% drop over 6 months suggests the trend is well established. | freshvoice

06/7/2014 11:50 | Looking at the Zauba site for 99.5% iodine imports to India in the past month it seems import prices are still continuing to slowly decline. Average import prices for the year to date are as follows, month ($/kg): Jan (43.73), Feb (40.87), Mar (38.97), Apr (39.08), May (38.29), June (37.37). | ![]() gadolinium

05/7/2014 20:43 | Rockstar - not sure if this is the issue or not, but I was tearing my hair out on here once until I realised that the "less than" and "more than" signs cause a post to be aborted mid-flow... hope that helps! | ![]() madchick
05/7/2014 19:57 | Well I drank 12 500ml cans of Carlsberg Export yesterday without any adverse effects, only 4.8', so erm... just shy of 29 units. A litre of 'neat' Pimms is 25 units. On with tonight's 12, cheers! | n3tleylucas

05/7/2014 17:32 | Not sure what happened to yesterdays post however I was trying to look at the big picture of how things have progressed at IOF after the disasterous mis-management that took place from September to March. If you look at the 3 key metrics that will drive profitability all 3 appear to me to be heading in the right direction. Iodine production: Q1- | ![]() rock star
05/7/2014 11:47 | Rockstar (22508): looking forward to the full post: can you reissue please? | engelo
05/7/2014 11:41 | Che: thanks for your post. We used to say a year ago how unusual it was to hold a share where the major risk was a takeover :-) Sadder and wiser now, but this still applies and any takeover would have to be at a very substantial premium and your estimates are absolutely realistic imo. | engelo

05/7/2014 09:57 | Most Pimms has little more alcohol than lemonade. It is too sweet to drink in real quantity - so Mr Big perhaps has minimal capacity for booze? I think the currency plays are correct and I hold IOF - so no real criticism. | ![]() flying pig
