It works all ways that's why nothing is a sure bet, I have had shares in companies in the past that had great potential couldn't loose but I did, funny enough one was a buy out that kept the company a separate concern within the company but crashed the share from 12p to less than a penny, I have also bought into some companies early on and been sitting on a great profit just like many are with IOF, but one dodgy RNS and down they go wiping out all my profit, I decided it was better to watch IOF for a while and buy in with everything is in place and going to happen, but again this was a mistake having watched them go up for months on a daily basis I bought just a few weeks before the crash. I did hold my shares though and even though i am still making a loss at least its reducing daily. All we need is a crystal ball, just think of all the hours SG would save on not having to do research lol.

still an 8 bagger, and hoping to double it, bought in very early and never bought or sold any, you know the story of iof and the only thing to stop us , would be a t/o , as it is probably an impossibility for me to lose , i'm sticking.

Moor: I recall Aug/Sept as well but can't remember what the trigger was. Possibly the arrival of material onto the market that is surplus to IOC's requirements? SG?

I for one fear the distraction that early interest would create. How could our BoD be focussed on aggressively driving and supporting a roll-out when they are perpetually engaged in and preparing for meetings with advisers, counter-parties etc.

They need to be left alone to get on with it

Re: it being quiet.

That is largely because a lot of the research is done now, it's just a case of allowing the company to get on and deliver.

I for one am certainly looking forward to the news flow for the rest of the year.

uppomp - imo a lot of PIs got screwed on "that" Monday, left hurt, bleeding & a lot poorer. They can't countenance a return to IOF, either 'cos they lost too much £££ to fund that, or simply because "once bitten, twice shy".

IMO the way markets have evolved encourages very short term views, which in the case of IOF (& others like MOS) is balderdash. Those of us who buy & hold LT without betting the ranch on it are going to get the best returns overall.

WTFDIK?

GL all serious investors!

PS - I bought in a year ago & sat on the stake evr since, neither buying nor selling. Sat thru' that Monday underwhelmed.

Upp it's better a bit quieter but from the share price recovery we have news soon IMO. We won't stay quiet then :)

Meadow2 presuming it wasn't an aggressive t/o (big assumption) they would have full view of the management accounts well before any were published.

Superg - I didn't mean that there would be no interest until the end of 2014, but I don't think that there will be a firm bid until then; i.e. after the half-year figures have been published confirming the progress of the company.

Struggling to open new long positions with Spreadex this morning.

No online dealing - phone only.

Even then they would only let me have £20 per point.

They're either getting close to their limit or they just don't like me!

IG is already closed, of course, as has already been posted.

I wonder how many left and haven't returned, it seems a lot quiter here these days by individual poster. Was a hell of a few days though...

No interest until the end of 2014 wouldn't make any sense based on the roll out plan.

In theory we could have 12 plants or more by then, and if they are all in OK on prime sites, then world number 2 would be well in the bag.

Bought again this morning, that's me all in for now.

My expectation is an operational update on I02, or possibly a patent RNS could sneak in first.
However, which ever way round it comes, updates are certainly queuing up.
We only need 2 or 3 of them to be 'as we expect' and we are sailing away from the 200p level for good.

superg: in my experience after a dive like that it takes weeks or months for the share price to recover. Confession to make: took out a T20 at the bargain price of 195 just before the crash so it's had an interesting ride ;-)

Big buy of 5 shares just gone through at 197.5 , which I think sets the headline share price Strange games going on out there.

This price move since the dip just seems relentless. It seems we have funds being aggressive, but strange since it is past the price where it took a dip from.

Titus if you're around and since there's no news to confuse things :-)

How does the current level of share price interact with the 'consolidation' levels during April? Do they provide a resistance level around this point?
