Any Tec traders out there?

Do I spot a head and shoulders formation forming after another few ticks down?

You should read the specification

Selector control for toasting buns/bagels (toasting one side and warming the other)

Extra-wide 28mm slots and adjustable inner wire guard to accommodate a sandwich cage

Though I fully understand they don't actually quote croissants, which is probably why you are asking.

Why don't you order it then return it if it doesn't come with the plug type you prefer. Distance selling regulations or rather the new name of 'consumer contract regulations' allow for that.

Toasters are not listed as exempt.

We can go through those laws next week, and the validity of a sellers returns policies compared to what the law says.

Stay tuned Cyber, I won't bother with Robo he is probably unconscious by now.

CORFO presses on with SQM lawsuitBy SIOBHAN LISMORE-SCOTT Published: Friday, 05 December 2014Ongoing litigation between SQM and Chilean development company CORFO over alleged underpayments by the lithium miner has led CORFO to request the return of the Atacama mining lease. While the figure in dispute is small for a company like SQM and it is unlikely to forfeit the licence, the company cannot make any decisions regarding expansions on Atacama until the issue is resolved.Chilean state development agency Corporación de Fomento de la Producción (CORFO) continues to insist that lithium miner Sociedad Quimica y Minera ( SQM) owes it almost $9m in fees pertaining to its lease of the Atacama mining rights.SQM, the world leading...

I'm going to see this through to the end now. Email to Selfridges customer service. Let's see if I get a response (the toaster and price is real by the way, take a look).

"
Good evening,

I have recently visited your website with a view to purchasing the Dualit 4 slice 24 carat gold toaster that you currently have on sale for £1,000 plus delivery and I wonder if you could answer a couple of questions for me?

Firstly could I ask if the toaster comes fitted with a plug?

Secondly, is the plug a sealed plug?

Lastly, if it is a sealed plug, is it tested before leaving the store?

Thank you in advance

PS Can I warm croissants on it?"

I wouldn't worry about the plug being missing, it's a simple matter to fit a new plug. But then why was the plug left off, maybe because there in a serious fault in the toaster---speculation--eh.

Are you all picking on a certain fellow, as he put his toaster under curtains I understand. The risk is obvious and it's said the risk fully revealed itself when the FCA wanted to visit and the curtains caught fire. Coincidentally destroying anything the FCA may be interested in.

The last thing we need are EU directives. Do not start me off on that lot.

roundup,
I see your point to a degree, sometimes one can worry about the plug rather than the operations of the toaster.

A word of warning,
I find opposable thumbs downright dangerous around toasters these days.

There should be an EU directive for opposable thumbs.

I cannot make a judgement as to the result of this/these objection(s)

However, I can make a decision as to whether to be invested in this share or not on the basis of cumulative info/opinion on a range of possible outcomes.

If that were not the case, I should not read any of the content of these boards.

If I know it has a plug and you don't I have an advantage. If it's a sealed plug which I have to render useless, to establish it's wired correctly, then I can only guess if it will work.

I've never yet had a sealed plug fail, but often receive items with things missing.

I have experienced experts telling me something is fine when it's clearly not, even those on the phone that can't see what I'm looking at.

IMO there is no obvious valid objection. What I can't rely on, as Sancler points out, is what the opinion of whoever reviews the points, considers what is or isn't valid.

OK, but I hope its relevant in the fullness of time.

We can go to all depths of research on anything. I'm sure somebody here can regale me with the merits of toasters in the UK. I'm sure that there could be some informed debate and in depth analysis about the comparable bread capacity, aesthetic appeal, price depreciated over time, power efficiency, different power settings to make sure I get the exact colour of crust I like, use of warming trays for croissants etc.

But that wont help if when it turns up it hasn't got a plug.
