28/11/2014 10:22 | What were those three 100,000 trades that went through at 9am - and why didn't the price move went it moves 5% sometimes on a 10,000 trade !? | jasisdad
28/11/2014 09:36 | I don't look too much at oil stocks but have followed the general news and the odd thread. Some sectors blame the US oil boom for the price drop. The reason for the boom has been the frac boom. Many threads have the various arguments about the massive decline curves over the first months or year of each well. Around 3 million plus barrels per day have been added by the US from fraccing. If the US cuts back on the higher cost new wells, or a general cutback then US output from exiting wells will drop like a stone, and balance is restored. EG Many wells decline 70% on production over 12 months. 50% of that decline can happen over the first 3 months. Forward selling and hedging already in place protects the short term revenue for many. OPEC say there is a potential oversupply of 1 mill barrels per day. That situation would be wiped out in a flash if US fracking dropped back. I was trying to get a grip of Continental resources recent announcement where they are not going to hedge on the lower prices and are gambling on higher prices. I assume they think the weak higher cost small players will have to cut back and won't be funded as freely as in the past. | ![]() superg1

27/11/2014 22:28 | Ansana, ACT is here because it's familiar territory, the risk reward is swinging to the upside, it takes time for the market to see progress. I can see some of his new 'ventures' taking up a lot more of his time, namely QFI where Boggle seems to have introduced him. He has plenty of reasons to stay there a while I'd imagine, but I don't generally get involved with stocks I have never owned. | ![]() che7win
27/11/2014 22:17 | See the twit ACT must be on the beer again with verbal diarrhoea. He really must be either a paid arm of ADV who is paid to wind people up to raise income on views per page or a complete mental case who deserves pity. At least with him filtered all I get is a single line from him no matter what he says. | freshvoice

27/11/2014 20:52 | I'm hearing the share prophets site is unregulated which means they can't tip and give investment advice (not that anyone listens). Does anyone know if that is right? Talk that the FCA may shut them down. | ![]() superg1
27/11/2014 20:47 | Ansana I thought I'd check to see if he had the slightest idea about the business and sector. You would think after all this time something may have sunk in, but apparently not. Nothing worth reading. I read the QFI thread for the last few dozen posts to see why some may have left. Well they have been told to F off and that a certain someone owns the thread. That person says he will demonstrate what how someone with no life can trash a thread while on the beer. Wow, what a guy. Boy yes, man no. | ![]() superg1
27/11/2014 20:27 | ACT bad day at the office it seems. Having been biffed and bashed around the ring all day by Che and Super it might be a good time to go back to your corner and ask for a new gum shield. If that fails just put your head in a bucket of water. | ansana |
