Correct ACT. Who needed the volume up today in order to get out as many 25k selling blocks.
Join the dots folks. You've been sold a sick puppy.

Superg, there is a separate section on the DNRC.MT.GOV water website which lists 'approved' permits... as you say, they then disappear off the 'pending' web page...

I've tracked other applications and any objections seem to appear as and when the bureau get them.

The only time it seems apparent that you can track additional items is once the permit is awarded and drops into the archives.

EG if you tried to search their records base for the application number it would return nothing.

It seems for permits post their objection period, if no objections are received, at some point all date boxes defer to 'null' which means it's been awarded.

2 that had public notice expiry dates of 31st October are now showing null. Another expires tomorrow, with one in a week so I'll watch to see how quickly they convert to 'null'.

In trading days terms just 12 days to go for the Atlantis permit.

I hope that is true Fresh, it would be good to hear.

I think that as has been pointed out before, II's are holding off, although we are cash positive and moving forward they are hoping that IOF will require some sort of funding for the water side. As SG has said, some would rather buy in at a higher price when they feel comfortable with less risk.

When ever there is a possibility of funding, any share price, but particularly small caps are taken lower as a favor for the big boys so that the returns are enhanced.

If IOF were to go it alone on the water side, which I doubt, II's would be falling over themselves to participate in any funding. It is a utility type business that should be very attractive.

So I think we are a in a win win situation once the objection period is out of the way or when the strategic business review is revealed.

As has been said, we are not just a company selling iodine, we have a very profitable chemical division, firing on all cylinders. The more iodine they use, the better, all added value.

There is an OPEC meeting on 27th November which might have some effect on the oil price, especially if the Saudis wanna keep pumping. However, their oil minister maintains that the current low price is not being caused by political machinations but by traders messing with the market. And it wont last long.
So, we shall wait and see what happens to the oil price and to the effect on fracking.

Hi SG1, is it possible to interrogate Montana website during the 'public notice' period to see if there have been any objections logged?

Agreed there is a left field event all the bears have ignored and I am not going to enlighten them.
It is a FACT that October production was a record for the month.

superg,
100% agree.

There are some surprises out there like fitbug, I would say any water news or strategy update will be a surprise to the wider market out there.

On the other AIM companies my point is simply that there is no appetite for risk on small caps at all. A range of funds dumped stock all over the place causing a crash, the market for small caps is very poor.

Take Cbuy with it's very big numbers in recent times, even with those the interest is simply not there.

Obviously there will be examples where shares are tight with buyers and moves up will occur but generally for some time it's been dire across the sector.

As always the cycle will change at some point but imo if in small caps it's best to stick with those with revenue which is increasing.

Re IOF the iodine price is a negative compared to last year but it's higher than 3 years ago. It could fall further depending on how much iodine Cosayach and RB have left, and how desperate they are but it seems to have been steady for the last month or so.

The Chile authorities are seeking to seize all the account details for the various Cosayach related companies. Cosayach have disrupted the market but have had to use criminal methods to achieve production and their lower prices. The tax scam they created looks quite extensive.

Perhaps quindell would be interested to offer shares for the fictitious company Cosayach created.

"is there any view on the likely effects of Brent etc pricing on fracking activity?"

My view is if WTI falls below $70 we'll see reduced activity. Costs may well be below that, but margins are being slashed.
