06/11/2014 07:55 | Bogg1e I read that one yesterday and decided to look up potash price trends. Last week I found a comment about the potash major Uralkali intending to go for bulk and knock the price down. This week the reverse is being mentioned current price $287, and Uralkali look set to have prices for contracts higher than last year. Uralkali expects to sign a new supply contract with China by the end of this year and anticipates a “higher price” than the $305 per ton under the current agreement, Chief Executive Officer Dmitry Osipov said in a Sept. 15 interview with Bloomberg television in New York. | superg1

05/11/2014 18:18 | Bobsworth crossed posts!Didn't realise the Canadians were doing the same...One of the many downsides of nuclear power... but good for Iofina! | cyberbub
05/11/2014 18:17 | Actually the French and Germans are apparently doing the same, and after doing some Web research, if each tablet contains 130mg (=0.13g) of iodine then 200million tablets across France, Switz and Germany is 26 metric tons of iodine... hardly going to set the iodine market ablaze but not to be sneezed at, I assume the tablets have a 2-3 year expiry date... I believe that the Japanese market for iodine tablets is also firm following Fukushima... just one of the many demands for our main chemical... | cyberbub

05/11/2014 07:34 | It continues on Rug. Oasis Petroleum news yesterday. Oasis have a large acreage position in eastern Montana. "We continue to test a number of things to delineate and optimize results across our extensive acreage position. We have realized some great results from our slickwater completion program, for example," said Thomas B. Nusz, Oasis' Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. "While still in early days, results in the White unit in Indian Hills are very encouraging, including a total of seven wells completed with slickwater stimulation through the entire Bakken and Three Forks section. The single Middle Bakken well has produced nearly 37,000 barrels of oil equivalent through 25 days, which is approximately 51% over our 750 Mboe Middle Bakken type curve for the area. The six Three Forks wells, including the lower benches, have produced on average approximately 40% better than the top end of our 600 Mboe Three Forks type curve. Given these results, as well as positive results we are seeing with high volume proppant jobs, we continue to plan on completing over 30% of our wells in the second half of 2014 with increased intensity completions, with most of those wells coming on in the fourth quarter. Based on our results combined with tests completed by peers, we believe the productivity gains should improve well economics and our Company's capital efficiency." | superg1
04/11/2014 18:17 | Ck - love the very apt name of the AE2S Water Solutions engineer - Grant Slick. Another link to an article published today: Missouri Breaks and Starbuck fields both close to Culbertson. | rugrat2
04/11/2014 16:19 | QFI has the excuse of non disclosure agreements due to the size of their partners coupled with a BoD that has never let anything slip prematurely, its not "leaky". This means that QFI is impossible for anyone to second guess. Contracts could come next march but they could come tomorrow. Furthermore, all targets have been met and continue to be met, just later than expected. This gives the company a sense of assured progress that is simple to understand. IOF on the other hand is always, due to the many variables, impossible to predict, but still a fantastic business model. | bogg1e
04/11/2014 13:06 | QFI has a hardcore pi support, private MB (like this). I know there is cross-party support. It's doing what this did, falling sharply before news of progress/setbacks... | arlington chetwynd talbot
04/11/2014 12:47 | Dont do XEL myself. But QFI will come back. | woolybanana
04/11/2014 12:31 | QFI is probably the most bearish of the 3 atm, awful shape. | arlington chetwynd talbot
04/11/2014 12:30 | No, XEL, got a boost from GKP/sector. But pretty dull bounce tbh, was a turn though. | arlington chetwynd talbot

04/11/2014 11:44 | Pleased you got out in profit cyberbub. I wouldn't say the Jorc was bad, more it didn't live up to market expectations. They are still drilling, but probably some weeks until reports. Not a happy bb over there at the moment! | bobbyshilling |
